The department has been operating since 1958, it trains specialists for the food and processing industry, organizations and departments for standardization, certification and quality control of food products, as well as for various companies involved in the import and export of food products.
The department "Technology of conservation" prepares specialists:
BACHELOR IN THE DIRECTION:
740100 “Technology and production of food products from vegetable raw materials” by profiles:
1.Technology of canned food and food concentrates;
2.Technology of winemaking and fermentation production;
3. Safety and quality of food production.
Academic degree: "Bachelor".
The form of education is full-time and part-time.
Duration of study - 4 years (full-time); 5 years (part-time).

"Standardization and certification of food production"
Academic degree: "Bachelor".
The form of education is full-time and part-time.

MASTERS IN THE DIRECTION:

There is a State license for the right to conduct educational activities for the preparation of bachelors and masters in the field of higher professional education in the above areas, the decision of the State Inspectorate for Licensing and Accreditation (Certification) under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, bachelor - license series LD170001104 Pr. and master - license series LD145000038 Ex. No. 2 dated 11/13/14 (TPPPRS), LD160000373 Ave. No. 4 dated 06/13/16 (SSP).
The department systematically carries out work on the methodological support of the disciplines of the department. Plans for the publication of educational and methodical literature are annually implemented in full and with overfulfillment of the volume. Guidelines for the implementation of practical and laboratory work in the disciplines "Microbiology", "Food Safety Management System", as well as a textbook on the discipline "Safety of food raw materials and food products" were completed in the state language. For all taught disciplines, an educational and methodological complex (EMC) has been developed, which includes syllabuses, work programs of the discipline, methodological manuals and instructions for laboratory work and practical exercises, materials for organizing and conducting student knowledge control, methodological materials for coursework, graduation works and master's thesis.
Educational laboratories of the department
The department has 4 laboratories of various profiles, lectures, practical and laboratory classes are held in 59 disciplines. The educational support staff of the department conducts all types of practical and laboratory classes at a high level, the laboratories are equipped with modern laboratory instruments. There is a training and production center "Technologist", where conditions are created in the production environment to carry out the technological process and laboratory research on the processing of vegetables and fruits. Lecture audiences are equipped with multimedia computer devices. The methodological support of the department is at a sufficient level.
