Applied Informatics
The Department of Applied Informatics was established at the Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport, and Architecture (KGSUCTA) on February 24, 2001. For the first time, students were admitted to the specialty 650003 "Applied Informatics" in the 2001-2002 academic year based on the Russian State Standard, by order of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic No. 109/105 dated March 15, 2001. The license was obtained in 2004.
In 2022, the department merged with the Faculty of Information Technologies of the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razakov, and formed the Institute of Information Technologies.
Mission of the Department
Using the latest educational technologies and scientific achievements, the department aims to prepare highly qualified, competitive specialists in the field of applied informatics and software engineering. These specialists will be capable of analyzing, modeling, and solving applied problems related to the design, development, and operation of information systems and technologies, in line with the needs of society, the state, and business.
