Department of Science and Innovation

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Science and Professional Development is a structural subdivision of the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University.

The Department carries out its activities within the University as a unified educational, scientific, and production complex and reports directly to the Vice-Rector for Research.

The Department's competence includes the organization, planning, and monitoring of research and production activities of the University staff and students, as well as the implementation of additional professional education and advanced training programs.

The Department implements the Strategic Development Policy for the University's scientific and innovative activities, which is aimed at creating an effective research and innovation system to integrate education, science, and industry.

The Department is managed by a Director who holds a higher professional education degree, an academic degree, and has at least 10 years of work experience at the University.

MAIN TASKS OF THE DEPARTMENT
The main tasks of the Department are:

1. Ensuring the unity and interconnection of scientific, educational, and production activities.
2. Organizing and conducting research activities of departments, branches, and the University as a whole.
3. Identifying promising areas of research work and increasing its efficiency.
4. Prioritizing the development of fundamental research as the basis for the formation and development of scientific schools.
5. Planning, organizing, and summarizing the results of scientific conferences and other scientific events.
6. Planning, coordinating, and analyzing the research work of undergraduate and graduate students (NIRS).
7. Organizing the work of the Business Incubator and Startup School to support the innovative activities of students and staff.
8. Commercialization of R&D results, technology transfer, and participation in startup projects.
9. Expanding international scientific and technical cooperation.
10. Organizing and conducting seminars, trainings, advanced training courses, and professional retraining.
11. Meeting the needs of specialists in acquiring and deepening knowledge about the latest achievements in science.
12. Conducting internships for University staff at leading universities and research centers.
13. Preparing and implementing proposals for the further improvement of research activities and additional education.
14. Conducting plagiarism checks (checks for borrowings) for dissertations and other research works.
