Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of KSTU named after I. Razzakov

The Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies of KSTU named after I. Razzakov is a structural division of the university responsible for organizing and coordinating the training of highly qualified scientific personnel - candidates, doctors of science and doctors of philosophy (PhD) / doctors of science. The main tasks of the department include: organizing admission, coordinating the educational and research process, organizing and documenting the processes of certification, translation, approval of dissertation topics, public discussion of dissertations of postgraduate students, applicants and PhD doctoral students, the registration and issuance of PhD diplomas and certificates for graduates of postgraduate studies, as well as ensuring compliance with state standards in the training of scientific personnel.                                                                                      

The training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel is carried out in accordance with the approved list of specialties. Currently, training of Candidates of Sciences and Doctors of Sciences is conducted in 53  specialties, while training of Doctors of Philosophy (PhD)/Doctors by Profile is implemented in 19 fields comprising 22 scientific and educational programs.  Admission to postgraduate studies, doctoral studies, and PhD doctoral studies is carried out on the basis of the Regulation “On the Training of Scientific and Scientific-Pedagogical Personnel under Postgraduate Professional Education Programs” and the Regulation “On the Procedure for Organizing PhD/Doctoral Studies by Profile and Awarding the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)/Doctor by Profile.”

In its activities, the Department of Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies is guided by the following regulatory legal acts:

– Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Education” (2003, as amended and supplemented);

– Regulation on Educational Organizations of Higher Professional Education of the Kyrgyz Republic;

– Labor Code of the Kyrgyz Republic;

-  Charter of KSTU named after I. Razzakov.
