Research Work

Particular attention is given to the research activities of the teaching staff, the development of educational and methodological materials, and continuous professional development. The research work at the Department of Applied Informatics is carried out in the following areas:

1. Information and communication technologies, innovative solutions, and the development and implementation of software packages.
2. Physical-mathematical, technical, economic, and pedagogical fields.

During the reporting period, members of the department participated in the following state-funded research projects:

1. Project: “Development and implementation of an integrated management environment for educational institutions under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.”
   Funding: 762,100 KGS, financed by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.
   Scientific Supervisor: Professor B.T. Ukuev.

2. Project: “Development and creation of a transforming working mechanism based on a wheel loader.”

3. Project: “Creation and implementation of an automated system for electronic licensing of educational institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic and its integration with the Tunduk interdepartmental electronic system.”
   Researcher: A.K. Sharshenbaeva.
4. International Project:Erasmus+ Program – “Development of Doctoral Studies and Research Potential in Kyrgyzstan (DERECKA).”
   Focus: Opening of a Ph.D. program in “Informatics.”
   Participant: A.K. Orozobekova (since 2020).

Independent accreditation and professional certifications: Certificate – Independent Accreditation Agency "BILIM-STANDARD": Accreditation of Educational Programs; Certificate – Global Technology Solutions: PHP Programming. In 2021, by order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, students and teachers of the department created websites for secondary schools in the Ak-Tala region. This initiative aimed to enhance the digital infrastructure of educational institutions in rural areas, providing students with practical development experience while supporting the modernization of the school system.

As a result, implementation certificates were obtained for the secondary school named after Bayimbet in the village of Zhany-Talap and the secondary school named after Abdraimov in the village of Kok-Zhar. Student developers, together with their teachers, prepared a scientific article for a conference and submitted a patent application for a software invention.

Student research work (NIRS) is conducted both in the traditional format and through innovative, creatively driven approaches. Graduates of the master's program, in co-authorship with their supervisors, submitted more than seven scientific articles to RIO for publication on topics relevant to their fields of study.

Working curricula (RUPs) for full-time and distance learning have been adjusted and are being consistently implemented. Four faculty members of the Department of Applied Informatics actively participate in the organization and implementation of the “AVN” system, as well as in guiding students' creative projects as academic advisors. The results of research work are gradually integrated into production practices and the educational process.

Plans for the future include organizing a round table with the participation of key stakeholders such as ARIS, the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, AVN LLC, ArchModern LLC, Dastan Stroy LLC, and others.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, the department's research theme was chosen as “Innovative Development of the Economy in the Context of Globalization: Problems and Prospects.” Within this general theme, the department's research work resulted in the completion of research projects, the publication of articles, methodological guidelines, and the preparation of final qualification papers.
