The Department of Technology of Light Industry Products is specialized for the graduation of bachelors and masters for the textile and light industry in the field of:
740700 - "Technology and design of light industry products" (qualification - "bachelor, master").
Education of bachelors is conducted in full-time and distance learning, profiles:
- "Designing of garments";
- "Technology of garments";
- "Technology of leather products";
- "Design of leather products";
- “Technology of textiles and leather”.
Masters in the following programs:
- "Designing of light industry products";
- "Technology of light industry products".
Mission and strategic priorities for the development of the department
Mission - To become the best in training personnel in the field of light industry, ensuring a high level of professional competence of trained bachelors and masters.
The strategic goal of the department is to fulfill the mission of the leading scientific, research, educational, methodological center in the field of technical sciences for the preparation of bachelors and masters for the textile and light industry, which is one of the leading departments of the university.
In the period from 2019 to 2024. the staff of the department showed high activity in improving the quality of training, improving the educational process, improving the qualifications of teaching staff and teaching staff, conducting research, joint design developments with students with access to International and National levels, organizing students to participate in fashion contests and festivals, as well as in all other aspects and types activities of the department.
The Department of TIPP has contracts with the following enterprises:
LLC "Aziyar", SP "E-linemoda", PE "Bermet", SP "Nazik", LLC "D&G", LLC "Russol", LLC "Nissi", LLC "City-B", LLC "Credo-Fashion", PE "Zorin", LLC "Olga classic", Atelier "Zhyldyz", etc., and also closely cooperates with the Association "Legprom" and "Soyuztextil" of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The Department actively cooperates with leading universities of the CIS and far abroad in the field of joint educational programs, scientific research, mobility of students and teachers, internships, participation in international conferences, round tables, seminars, exhibitions, etc.
For the first time, 3 students studying in the profile "Textile and Leather Technology", implemented at KGTI on the basis of a Memorandum, undergo a semester internship at the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau (Germany).
In recent years, work has intensified on academic mobility with Almaty Technological University (ATU), as well as student exchange during academic and industrial practice. .
