International activities of the department "Technology of light industry products"

The international cooperation of the department is effectively carried out with the West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (Germany), the International Trade Center (ITC) implemented by the Trade Promotion Program in Kyrgyzstan and funded by the Government of Switzerland, under the Global Program in the textile and clothing industry (GTEX). The Trade Promotion Program in the Kyrgyz Republic is funded by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The main goal of the program is to promote income and employment growth in the textile and clothing industry by improving the export competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the industry.

According to the memorandum with the West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences Zwickau (WHZ) in the direction of "Technology and design of light industry products", a new profile "Technology of textiles and leather" was opened at the TILP department in 2015 and the mobility of students and teachers was organized as part of the educational program. Work is underway to develop international academic mobility of teachers, researchers and students, both in the near and far abroad. Teachers successfully improve their qualifications at the West-Saxon University of Applied Sciences in Zwickau (Germany), and students of the Textile and Leather Technology profile are sent for monthly and semester training.

In recent years, the work of academic mobility with the Almaty Technological University (ATU) has been activated, the exchange of students during the passage of educational and industrial practice.

In 2019, the Memorandum of KSTU named after I. Razzakova and the International Trade Center (ITC) on cooperation in the creation of the Training Center for Light Industry "Personnel Industry" within the framework of the Global Program in the Textile and Apparel Industry (GTEX) and funded by the Government of Switzerland.

Within the framework of this memorandum, a specialized Light Industry Training Center was opened and equipped with modern technology with advanced training methods for the training and retraining of designers using a modern system for automatic design of clothes and seamstresses - high-speed sewing operators. As part of the Memorandum, ITC assisted in the purchase of Grafis version 12 CAD software, a plotter, special machines, the organization of appropriate training for teachers in CAD, as well as the development of curricula and programs for short-term training and retraining courses. KSTU provided the necessary conditions for the functioning of the Training Center, including: provision of premises and further maintenance of the center, purchase of computers and sewing machines, development of training programs in cooperation with the industry and other educational institutions, providing access to students of other universities and specialists of textile and clothing enterprises modern technologies.

Also, within the framework of the ITC Memorandum, the department cooperates with the Russian company "Kadrus" and the licensed CAD program "Grafis" version 12 is installed in the computer room. This is a modern, intelligent system for automated design of patterns (creating patterns), which can extremely simplify and speed up the process of creating and launching clothing models into production.

The department cooperates on the Global Program in the Textile and Garment Field (GTEX) with the National School of the Textile and Clothing Industry of Casablanca, the Kingdom of Morocco. As part of the cooperation, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between KSTU and the Higher School of Textile and Clothing ESITH, which involves academic exchange of students and teachers, as well as educational and research information, joint scientific research, etc.

Since 2017, the department has been cooperating with SAPRLEGPROM LLC, Rostov-on-Don, Russia, in the training and retraining of light industry specialists in the field of education using modern information technologies and equipment. Within the framework of this agreement, licensed CAD software "JULIVI" was installed in the laboratory of the department.

 

The department maintains relations with the Vitebsk State Technological University of the Republic of Belarus in the field of educational and scientific-practical activities.

An agreement was signed on cooperation in the field of education, science, technology, student and academic mobility between the department and the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry.

A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed with the Almaty Technological University (ATU), and the Sheber Training Center of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the implementation of joint projects and programs, for the organization of bilateral joint seminars, conferences and round tables, for mutual assistance in improving the scientific qualifications of undergraduates, teaching staff, exchange of experience in the development of advanced innovative teaching methods.
