Employment
One of the key indicators of the quality of training is the demand for specialists in the labor market. The educational programme "Light Industry Product Technology" demonstrates a stable employment rate of graduates of around 95% on average, which confirms its demand in the labour market.
Graduates of the department are successfully employed at leading light industry enterprises, which confirms their high level of professional training and compliance with industry requirements. Many of them hold positions as directors of garment factories, chief designers, technologists, and heads of production departments at companies such as Aziar LLC (ОсОО «Азиар»), Phoenix LLC (ОсОО “Феникс”), E-linemoda LLC (ОсОО “E-linemoda”), Baidan Kids LLC (OcOO «Baidan kids»), Baziko LLC (ОсОО «Базико»), Nissi LLC (ОсОО «Нисси»), Larisa-fashion LLC (ОсОО «Larisa-fashion»), Temene PE (ЧП «Темене»), Barkhat LLC (ОсОО «Бархат»), Tabysh LLC (ОсОО «Табыш»), etc.
Some graduates pursue careers in science and education, working as teachers in educational institutions in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The practice-oriented nature of the training plays an important role in successful professional adaptation. All types of educational and industrial internships are organized at specialised enterprises within the industry, which allows students to gain authentic industrial experience while still studying. This ensures their competitiveness, employability, and sustainable career development growth in the future.
The department, in collaboration with the Technological Institute, systematically monitors the employment of graduates. Information on the professional activities of graduates is updated and analysed annually, which enables educational programmes to be revised in accordance with labour market needs.
Employers are actively involved in the educational process. Representatives of enterprises regularly participate in events related to the organisation and enhancement of the educational process. They are members of State Attestation Commissions, participate in assessing graduate training quality, in developing topics for final qualification theses and research projects commissioned by industry, and also serve as enterprise-based internship supervisors.
In order to promote the career growth of students, the university has a Practice and Career Centre, which, in cooperation with the Bishkek City Employment Promotion Department of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, regularly organises job fairs, career and internship days, company and association presentations, and other events aimed at promoting the employment of students and graduates of the university.
The consistently high level of graduate employment over the past five years confirms the effectiveness of the department's educational policy and its close cooperation with light industry enterprises.
