Educational activities
The Department of Light Industry Products Technology is the leading educational and scientific unit of I. Razzakov KSTU, training highly qualified specialists for the textile and light industry of the Kyrgyz Republic. Training is provided in program 740700 - "Technology and Design of Light Industry Products," with bachelor's and master's degrees awarded.
The bachelor's degree program offers courses in "Garment Design," "Garment Technology," and "Textile and Leather Technology," allowing students to choose a professional development path tailored to their interests and industry needs.
Starting in the 2024–2025 academic year, the educational program "Technology and Design of Textile and Light Industry Products" will be offered in both bachelor's and master's programs. The educational process is focused on integrating fundamental theoretical training with practice-oriented learning, the use of modern technologies, and close collaboration with industry companies, ensuring graduates' high competitiveness in the labor market.
Educational programs are implemented in accordance with the approved State Educational Standards of Higher Professional Education and the Educational Standards of the I. Razzakov Kyrgyz State Technical University.
The university has industry councils and educational and methodological associations with the participation of employers, whose purpose is to discuss the implementation and improvement of educational programs, as well as other departmental activities.
Starting in the 2025–2026 academic year, the PhD program "Textile and Light Industry Manufacturing Technology" in the program area 742000 - "Consumer Goods Technology" will be implemented for the first time in the Kyrgyz Republic.
