Work with projects
Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov (KSTU) actively participates in international projects aimed at fostering scientific cooperation, academic mobility, and improving the quality of education. The university collaborates with leading foreign universities, research centers, and international organizations, facilitating its integration into the global educational space.
One of the main directions of KSTU’s international activities is participation in European Union programs:
Erasmus+ (2015–2024) – academic exchange projects for students and faculty, as well as the development of joint educational programs. Within Erasmus+, KSTU is involved in the following projects:
- DERECKA – strengthening research competencies of PhD students. As part of this project, English language courses have been conducted to enhance the research competencies of faculty and administrative staff at KSTU.
- DEFA – exploring financial and economic independence prospects for universities in Kyrgyzstan. KSTU is the coordinator of this project, highlighting its leading role in managing international initiatives.
Additionally, KSTU regularly organizes informational events related to Erasmus+. For example, on December 16, 2024, the university held an information day dedicated to new calls for the 2024–2025 period.
- Horizon Europe (2021–2027) – supporting advanced scientific research and the implementation of innovative technologies.
KSTU also participates in international projects led by other organizations:
- United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) – implementation of sustainable development initiatives.
- World Bank – funding educational and technological projects.
- Digital Transformation of Education Project (2020–2023) – integration of digital technologies into the educational process.
- Ecological Innovations and Sustainable Development Project (2018–2022) – development of environmentally friendly technologies.
International Academic and Research Cooperation
KSTU actively collaborates with technical universities in Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkey, China, South Korea, and other countries. This cooperation includes the establishment of joint laboratories, hosting international scientific conferences, and implementing dual-degree programs.
In 2024–2025, new research laboratories have been launched:
- Intelligent Systems and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory
- Renewable Energy Laboratory
- Digital Technologies in Mechanical Engineering Laboratory
These research centers aim to advance cutting-edge scientific studies and integrate modern technologies into the educational process.
Special attention is given to fostering partnerships with industrial companies, enhancing practice-oriented training for students, and preparing them for the international job market.
Through its international projects, KSTU strengthens its position as a leading technical university in the region, ready to meet the challenges of modern science and technology.
