"machines and equipment for food production" is one of the oldest departments of the Kyrgyz State Technical University. It was founded in 1962. During this time, the department has trained more than 2,000 mechanical engineers and about 200 process engineers of bakery, pasta, confectionery industries not only for Kyrgyzstan, but for the entire region of Central Asia.
During the period of its existence, the department has constantly developed and improved: a modern scientific, technical and educational and laboratory base was created to offer students modern technical education. The educational and laboratory base includes 6 specialized educational laboratories, educational workshops and a computer class.
The Department of Food Engineering is one of the oldest departments of the university, founded in 1962. During this time, the department trained over 2,000 mechanical engineers for the food industry. Over the period of its existence, the department has constantly evolved and improved: a modern scientific, technical and educational laboratory base has been created to obtain a modern technical education. The educational and laboratory base includes six specialized training laboratories, training workshops, which are equipped with mock-ups and samples of existing equipment in all sectors of the food industry
All laboratories are equipped with models and samples of operating equipment in all branches of the food industry and refrigeration.
Currently, the department employs: 2 professors, 4 associate professors, 2 senior teachers, 1 teacher of the department has a doctorate in technical sciences and 4 teachers of a candidate of technical sciences.
The Department of Food Engineering prepares:
bachelors in the direction 650400 Technological machines and equipment
by profiles:
"Food Engineering", "Food Engineering for Small Businesses";
"Machines and devices for food production";
Refrigeration, cryogenic technology and air conditioning.
masters in the direction 650400 Technological machines and equipment
under the program "Food engineering of small enterprises".
postgraduate and doctoral students in the specialties:
"Processes and devices of food production";
"Theory of mechanisms and machines".
The department has the opportunity to organize the training and retraining of specialists in the field of food enterprises, as well as managers for food production.
