Currently, the food and processing industries are faced with the following problems:
attraction of investments for the modernization, technical and technological re-equipment of enterprises in the food and processing industry;
increase in processing volumes of fruits and vegetables and agricultural products;
expanding the range of production of high-quality, safe food products that are competitive in the domestic and foreign markets, etc.
One of the solutions to this problem is the training of specialists for the branches of the agro-industrial complex, according to the Educational program 650400 "Technological machines and equipment".
The field of activity of specialists in the direction "Technological machines and equipment" of the profiles "Food engineering of small enterprises", "Machines and apparatus for food production", "Refrigeration, cryogenic equipment and air conditioning", covers both food production and food engineering plants, as well as enterprises of other sectors of the economy of Kyrgyzstan. Graduates of the department are able to develop highly efficient, environmentally friendly equipment for food production. They can work in a variety of areas: at enterprises of various capacities, in research institutes, design bureaus, design organizations, information centers, educational institutions, etc.
Graduates of the department, having a basic mechanical education, supported by knowledge in the field of food technology processes and extensive experience in working with computers, can provide themselves with a prestigious and well-paid job.
Graduates of this direction are in demand in the workplace, as the employment rate in recent years is at least 88%.
Graduates in the direction of "Technological machines and equipment" are in demand at the enterprises of the food and processing industry throughout the Kyrgyz Republic (more than 600 small enterprises and more than 100 large enterprises).
The department works in close cooperation with such enterprises as Rikha LLC, Ata confectionery factory, Tattuu LLC, Elita LLC, Efta LLC, Kulikovsky House CJSC, Gul Azyk LLC, Zhashylcha LLC , Kompromservis, Akun CJSC, Imperator LLC, Vim Bil Dan CJSC, Bishkek Sut JSC, Arashan JSC, Belovodsky Oil and Fat Plant LLC, Talas Sut LLC, Sut Bulak JSC, Kyrgyz Konyagy LLC , Shoro CJSC, Ayu LLC, Coca Cola Bottlers CJSC, Arpa CJSC, Abdysh Ata CJSC, etc.
