Enrollment for PhD doctoral studies
The planning of the student's studies and research work is carried out by semesters in accordance with an individual plan.
Credits for theoretical training are awarded with a positive assessment based on the results of the intermediate certification of the studied academic disciplines. In case of negative results of intermediate certification of academic disciplines, the opportunity to retake once is provided.
At the end of each semester, during the intermediate certification, the student presents a presentation of the results of the research work at a meeting of the department (structural unit) responsible for the implementation of the basic doctoral program in the presence of scientific supervisors. The results of the research work at the end of each period of their passage are issued to the student in the form of a brief report.
The student is obliged to publish at least two scientific articles reflecting the scientific results of the dissertation research in scientific publications with a non-zero impact factor indexed by the international systems Web of Science or Scopus.
Control over the implementation of the individual plan by the student is assigned to the scientific supervisors and the head of the structural unit that trains the student.
When implementing joint programs of basic doctoral studies, the University, in accordance with the procedure established by it, offsets the results of training in disciplines (modules), research internships and practices, conducting research work in other organizations involved in their implementation.
The scientific seminar is an active form of research work that provides opportunities for flexible, interactive interaction between students and leading scientists. Scientific seminars are held throughout the entire period of study, with a labor intensity of 5 credits in each semester. The result of the scientific seminar is evaluated as "credited" or "not credited". The decision on certification is made at the department (structural unit) responsible for the implementation of the corresponding program of basic doctoral studies with the participation of scientific supervisors.
The student's research internship is conducted in order to study the latest theoretical, methodological and technological achievements of domestic and foreign science, as well as to consolidate practical skills of scientific and professional activity, the use of modern research methods, processing and interpretation of experimental data in dissertation research. The content of the research internship is determined by the topic of the dissertation. The student must complete a foreign research internship for a period of at least one month during the training.
At the end of the research internship, the student submits a report in an approved form or a certificate of any sample and a transcript with the number of ECTS credits assigned and an assessment for the research internship.
Receiving an unsatisfactory assessment or not providing the necessary documentation entails repeated completion of a research internship. The terms and conditions of repeated research internship are established in each individual case by the department of the basic doctoral program of the University.
Scientific and pedagogical practice is conducted in order to prepare students for their future professional scientific and pedagogical activity. During the internship , students:
- study the basics of pedagogical activity at the university;
- master the skills of preparing, organizing and conducting certain types of classes (lectures, laboratory, practical and seminar classes, independent work of students);
- acquire the ability to develop educational and methodological complexes and methodological support of disciplines;
- gain experience in communicating with the student audience.
At the end of the scientific and pedagogical practice, the student submits a report.
