Ensuring the security of information systems


The Department of Informatics and Automation of Production (IAP) was established in 2001 as part of the newly organized Institute of New Information Technologies of the KGUST named after N. Isanov. In 2002, the Department of IAP was renamed the Department of Information Systems Security (OBIS) in connection with the opening of a new specialty at the department 650006 "Integrated Information Security of automated Systems" (COIBAS). In 2009, the Master's degree program 552815 "Information Security and Protection" was opened. The new specialty of KOIBAS in the Kyrgyz Republic was opened on the initiative of Candidate of technical Sciences, associate professor, laureate of the Lenin Komsomol of the USSR in the field of science and technology Abdulaev Absamat Abdulaevich and since 2002 KGUST (now KSTU named after Razzakov) has been a basic university. The State educational standard of higher professional education of the specialty KOIBAS was developed at the OBIS Department and approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Kyrgyz Republic, by Order No. 74/1 dated 02/04/2004. Since 2012, it has been conducted according to a multi-level education system, and the department prepares competitive bachelors and masters in the field of training 590100 - "Information security". In 2008-2018, the teaching staff of the department implemented, together with German professors, an individual bachelor's degree program "Informatics", as part of the newly established Kyrgyz-German Faculty (since 2016 Institute) of Applied Informatics, according to an agreement between KGUST and the West Saxon University of Applied Sciences (Germany). The dean (hereinafter the director) was Abdulaev Absamat Abdulaevich, Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor, laureate of the Lenin Komsomol of the USSR in the field of science and technology. Since 2020, we have been training specialists in the field of biomedical engineering according to the individual curriculum of the bachelor's degree program "Informatics in healthcare and Biomedical Engineering" with the profile "Biomedical Engineering". The Department has a close relationship with leading foreign universities: West Saxon University of Applied Sciences (Germany), Technical University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technology, Mechanics and Optics (ITMO) and the Moscow National Research University "MIET". The teaching staff of the department, within the framework of international project programs, regularly completed internships in India, Germany, Romania, Croatia and Russia, improving their professional levels in various educational programs. Research work at the department is conducted in 2 directions: "Application of information technologies and mathematical modeling methods in the sectors of the national economy" and "Problems and prospects of information security in the Kyrgyz Republic". According to the results of scientific research, 4 PhD theses were defended (Tynyshova T.D., Manapbayev I.K., Kukanova R.A., Kurmanalieva R.N.) and more than 120 scientific articles, 4 monographs were published (Muraliev A.M., Manapbayev I.K., Kurmanalieva R.N., Kukanova R.A.). Our graduates are employed by German Soft firms (Mityaev A., Chinalieva A.) and in the Ministries of Finance, Economy and Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Social Fund of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Tax Service, the National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic, JSC RSK Bank, JSC Aiyl Bank, mobile operators About! Beeline, Kyrgyztelecom JSC, Megaline JSC, in commercial and government organizations for the production of software and databases.
