Business Trip of the Head of the Department of "OBIS" within the Framework of the Erasmus+ Programme
Scientific and Practical Conference “Current State of Cybersecurity in the Kyrgyz Republic”
On December 13, 2025, at Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov, the Department of Information Systems Security Assurance (ISSA) held its annual scientific and practical conference for faculty members and students entitled “Current State of Cybersecurity in the Kyrgyz Republic.” The event took place in Room 8/103 (Campus 2).
The conference was attended by the Head of the ISSA Department, A.A. Abdulaev, faculty members of the department, 18 presenters, and 49 participants. The conference sessions addressed contemporary information and cybersecurity threats, data protection issues, the impact of digital transformation, and the need to train qualified specialists in the field of information security.
Special attention was given to current types of cyber threats, including malware, phishing, DDoS attacks, zero-day vulnerabilities, AI-driven attacks, as well as risks associated with the human factor and insider threats. The presenters demonstrated practical methods for preventing and responding to information security incidents.
As part of the conference, a hackathon was held during which students presented applied projects in automation, digital services, information security, and environmental sustainability.
Based on the conference results, the prize winners were as follows:
1st place — N. Usupov, M. Turdugulov;
2nd place — N. Bakirov, B. Baiyshev;
3rd place — E. Ibraimov, K. Berdaliev.

Opening of the “Tonk Asia” Training Laboratory at the Department of ISSA
On October 16, 2025, an open lesson entitled “Modern Thin Client Technologies and Information Security” was held at the Department of Information Systems Security Assurance (ISSA) of Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov. The lecture was delivered by A.T. Abdylldaev, Head of the Information Security Division at Bakay Bank. The event was attended by faculty members of the department and students from groups BIS-1-2-3-22–25.
As part of the collaboration with TONK Asia, a modern thin client virtualization laboratory was established at the department. This laboratory allows students to securely work with virtual machines, simulate network processes, practice responses to system failures and cyberattacks, and study information protection principles in conditions closely resembling real-world infrastructure.
During the lesson, students met with representatives of TONK Group: CEO Mikhail Ushakov and Chairman of the Board of Directors Erkin Palvanov. They shared their experience in implementing remote access technologies, building reliable digital infrastructure, and emphasized the importance of digital transformation for education and industry. Mikhail Ushakov stressed that as the modern world digitalizes, data protection becomes critically important, and thin clients make systems secure, cost-effective, and convenient for educational institutions.
Chairman of the Board Erkin Palvanov demonstrated the capabilities of virtualization and simulators for practical student training, noting that these tools allow students to observe infrastructure operations from within and safely practice data protection skills.
The Head of the Department, Absamat Abdulaev, emphasized that the new laboratory enhances the effectiveness of education, provides students with a modern level of training, and opens opportunities for hands-on mastery of information security technologies. At the conclusion of the session, students asked numerous questions regarding thin clients, virtual laboratories, and the application of these technologies in business and government sectors.

Nurgul Amadalievna Omorova — Awarded the “Excellence in Education” Medal
Throughout 2024, N.A. Omorova carried out systematic work aimed at improving the quality of the educational process and enhancing professional skills.
As part of her professional activities, N.A. Omorova participated in the 2024 competition for the Best Educational and Methodological Complex (EMC). For the competition, she developed and organized educational and methodological materials, including modern teaching technologies, methodological recommendations, didactic resources, and assessment tools. The submitted EMC meets the requirements of current educational standards and is designed to enhance learning effectiveness and foster students’ cognitive activity. As a result of her participation, she received a certificate.
Her involvement in the competition contributed to the consolidation and dissemination of pedagogical experience, as well as the improvement of methodological competence.
In recognition of her diligent work, professional achievements, and contribution to the development of education, N.A. Omorova was awarded the “Excellence in Education” medal in October 2024, highlighting the effectiveness of her teaching activities and high level of professionalism.

2) Тынышова Толгонай Дайырканкожоевнага доцент илимий наамы ыйгарылды
2025-жылдын 2-октябрында Кыргыз Республикасынын Президентинин алдындагы Улуттук аттестациялык комиссиянын чечими менен Тынышова Толгонай Дайырканкожоевнага «Информатика, эсептөө техникасы жана башкаруу» адистиги боюнча доцент илимий наамы ыйгарылды (протокол № 7дц-2/39, Бишкек шаары).
Участие студентов кафедры в научных конференциях
12 декабря 2024 года обучающиеся кафедры приняли активное участие в Совместной международной межвузовской научно-практической конференции молодых ученых и студентов на тему:
«От национальной к глобальной безопасности: многофакторный анализ вызовов и угроз стабильному развитию Центральной Азии».
В рамках конференции были представлены актуальные доклады, посвящённые вопросам цифровой безопасности и устойчивого развития региона.
Студенты Абасов А. А., Турдугулов М., Ырысбек уулу Биймырза (гр. БИС-2-22) выступили с докладом «Мониторинг цифровой грамотности населения», в котором рассмотрели уровень цифровых компетенций как важный фактор национальной и глобальной безопасности.
Также с научным сообщением «Использование методов машинного обучения для анализа криптографических алгоритмов» выступила студентка Орозакунова Элиза (гр. БИС-1-21), продемонстрировав возможности применения современных интеллектуальных технологий для повышения надежности информационных систем.
Кроме того, студент Токтобеков Элдос принял участие в кафедральной конференции молодых ученых, магистрантов и студентов, где представил доклад на тему «Мошенничество в банковских информационных системах», осветив актуальные угрозы в сфере финансовой безопасности и методы их предотвращения.
Участие студентов в научных мероприятиях способствует развитию исследовательских навыков, формированию профессиональных компетенций и укреплению научного потенциала кафедры.
