Mining machines and electromechanics


The Metallurgical Faculty was established by the order of the rector of KSU No. 01-2/133 dated 11/22/2021 after the reorganization of the Mining and Metallurgical Faculty. The faculty has 4 graduate departments and 2 service departments.

The faculty has 6 departments, of which 4 graduate departments:

Mineral processing and metallurgical processes;
Mining electromechanics;
Physical processes of oil and gas production;
Economics and organization of mining production;
General technical sciences;
Social sciences.
The objects of professional activity of graduates of the metallurgical faculty are mining and metallurgical enterprises.

Graduates of the faculty hold leading positions in domestic mining enterprises, such as Kumtor, Zherui, Bozumchak, Kara-Keche, Chaarat, Ishtamberdy, etc.  

The teaching staff of the faculty consists of professors, associate professors and highly qualified specialists with extensive practical and theoretical work experience. 

Currently, the Department of the faculty has agreements with many mining enterprises of the republic ("Kumtor", "Zheruy", "Kara-Keche", "Bozymchak", "Chaarat", "Zhyrgalan", "Saryzhaz", "Tereksay", etc.) on the passage of industrial practices by students to obtain practical skills of work and additions of theoretical knowledge. Visiting lectures by leading employees of mining enterprises are also organized for students during their studies.
