Mining machines and electromechanics
The Department of Mining Machinery and Electromechanics was established in 1964 and is a graduating department. The Department of Mining Electromechanics (hereinafter referred to as GMiE) is one of the leading academic divisions of the Kyrgyz State Mining University named after Academician U. Asanaliev.
From 1964 to 2011, the Department was headed by:

At present, the Department is headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor K.K. Orozov.
Activities
The Department of Mining Machinery and Electromechanics carries out scientific, educational, methodological, organizational, and воспитательная (educational and mentoring) activities. It provides training for specialists awarded the qualification of “Mining Engineer” in the specialties:
- Mining Machinery and Equipment
- Electromechanics in the Mining Industry
The Department also trains Bachelor’s degree students in the following fields:
- Technological Machines and Equipment
- Electric Power Engineering and Electrical Engineering
The duration of study is:
- 5 years for Specialist degree programs,
- 2 years for Master’s degree programs,
- 4 years for Bachelor’s degree programs.
