Organization of transportation and transport management

     The Department of "Organization of Transportation and Transport Management" is an educational, methodological and scientific department of the Kyrgyz State Technical University n.a. I.Razzakov, carrying out educational, educational, methodological and scientific research activities, extracurricular work among students, training bachelors and masters in the field of 670300 Technology of transport processes, as well as highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel (postgraduate studies) in the specialty 05.22.10 Operation road transport.

     History. In order to improve the quality of training and improve the educational process, as well as provide the country's transport industry with broad-spectrum specialists, by order of the rector No. 58 dated September 8, 2003, the Department of Transport Management was organized by separating it from the Department of Automobile Transport. Doctor of Technical Sciences Davlyatov Ulukbek Ryskulbekovich was appointed acting head of the department.

     On December 1, 2003, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Prof. was appointed head of the department Torobekov Bekzhan Torobekovich. He headed the department until August 2010, while continuing to work as the first vice-rector for academic affairs at the university. From 2010 until June 2024 the department is headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Atabekov Kalmamat Karimovich.

     At the present, the department is headed by Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate of Professor Altybaev Amanbek Sharshenbekovich. 

     In 2015, the department received a new name - the Department of Transportation Organization and Traffic Safety. From September 2022, in connection with the merger of the departments “Organization of Transportation and Traffic Safety” of Razzakov KSTU and “Organization of Transportation and Traffic Safety”, “Customs in Transport” of KSUCTA n.a. N Isanov’s department was renamed to the department “Organization of transportation and transport management.”

     In 1999, the department “Organization of Road Traffic” was formed at KSUSTA, the department was headed by the director of the Bishkek Road College Oruntaev N.O. In 2001, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor T.Y. Matkerimov became the head of the department. Since October 2002, the department has been headed by Ph.D., Acting. Professor Isakov K.

     During the period of formation and further development, the department developed new state educational standards of the third generation in the specialties “Organization of transportation and management in transport”, “Organization and traffic safety”, the first educational and methodological complexes in special disciplines, a system for organizing the educational process was introduced according to the principles of Bologna process, repairs and equipment of classrooms were carried out, the concept of training specialists was revised. The specialization of the department's disciplines was carried out and disciplines related to the organization and safety of traffic, the transportation process and transport management began to be taught on the basis of a competency-based approach.

     Currently, the teaching staff of the department is represented by 4 Doctor of Technical Sciences - Atabekov K.K., Matkerimov T.Y., Torobekov B.T., Trofimova L.S., 6 Ph.D. and associate professor - Isakov K., Nurmanbetov N.R., Muktarbek uulu K., Altybaev A.Sh., Salmanova A.N., Arykbaev K.B., associate professors Stasenko L.N., Asanaliev T.M., 5 senior teachers - Nazarov B.P., Myrzalieva A.O., Rysbekov A.Sh., Chopoev A.B., Esenaliev T.B. and educational-support staff - Kudaibergenova D.K., Tatanova A.T., Maksatbek kyzy A., allowing for teaching at the proper scientific, theoretical, methodological and organizational level of the disciplines assigned to the department, and conducting scientific research and educational and methodological work.

     The department has lecture halls, educational, practical and research laboratories, as well as modern special stands and equipment with the help of which research work is carried out in the field of structural safety of vehicles, the transportation process and logistics, as well as customs in road transport.

     The main goal of the department is to train highly qualified and competitive specialists who are ready to work in a global and complex socio-economic environment. The work of the department is focused on training personnel capable of using innovative knowledge and skills in their professional activities, as well as the skills of introducing modern and innovative transport and management technologies into practice.

     The main objectives of the department are:

- improvement of educational and methodological activities of teaching staff;

- improvement of teaching technologies in order to develop the creative potential of students’ personalities and their capabilities;

- development of fundamental and applied sciences through joint creative activities of teaching staff and students, use of the results obtained in the educational process;

- training and advanced training of specialists with higher education, as well as highly qualified scientific and pedagogical personnel;

- preservation and enhancement of moral, cultural and scientific values of society;

- dissemination of knowledge among the population, increasing the intellectual potential of the state;

- carrying out educational work among students.

     The department has long-standing and strong ties with state, municipal and private enterprises, where students undergo educational, industrial, pre-qualification, and research practice. Agreements have been concluded with the following companies:

- Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic and its structural divisions;

- Main Directorate for Road Safety of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic;

- City Transport Department under the Bishkek City Hall;

- Municipal enterprise “Bishkek Passenger Motor Transport Enterprise;

- State Customs Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and its structural divisions.

     In order to study, generalize and disseminate experience, new innovative teaching technologies, organize joint scientific research, design and other developments, as well as conduct conferences and other events, the department has established creative connections with related departments of foreign and national universities: Moscow Automobile and Highway State Technical University (MADI) (Russia, Moscow), Siberian State Automobile and Highway University (SibADI) (Russia, Omsk), Omsk State Transport University (OmGUPS), Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University n.a. B.N. Yeltsin (KRSU), Kyrgyz National Agrarian University, Osh Technological University (OshTU), etc.
