The professional activities of a graduate of the department are: creation of a costume-an object of creative activity of a stylist artist, the ability to solve issues of artistic design of textile and light industry products, good orientation in fashion and style, composition, marketing research in the fashion industry, the use of innovative and traditional methods of artistic design for introduction into mass production and in the field of PR Graduates of the department can work as fashion designers and fashion designers in fashion houses, fashion studios, design studios, sewing and textile enterprises of light industry Future fashion designers in costume and textiles design and manufacture clothes, hats, fabrics and accessories from fabrics for costumes, as well as decorative and applied art products. The teaching staff of the department of "KhPI" is staffed with specialists with basic specialized education and extensive experience in their activities. Many of them are members of the Union of Artists of the Kyrgyz Republic, participants and laureates of numerous competitions, exhibitions, screenings, vernissages at the national and international levels in Kyrgyzstan, Italy, France, Germany, the USA, Turkey and other countries.
Our students regularly participate in interuniversity, republican and international competitions, exhibitions and fashion shows, such as "Fashion Week", "Admiralty Needle", "Zhas Orken", "Babalar Murasy", "Unconventional New Year", "Ecobashtyk", "Oimo", "Fashion industry", "Pro-fashion", "Fashion cheberi", "Bio-KG", "Zhashtar camp" festival, etc.
A student educational and art laboratory "Saima" has been created at the department, equipped with the necessary equipment. Here, students improve their skills in performing practical tasks, are involved in research work on the study, restoration, development of Kyrgyz folk costume, folk decorative and applied arts (embroidery, koshmovalyanie, weaving chiya, batik, kurak, weaving and other methods of processing materials). The Department of KhPI cooperates with leading industry enterprises, designers, specialized universities, colleges, lyceums of Kyrgyzstan and abroad.
