Additional Information:

In the era of an increasing energy crisis, issues of energy saving and improving building energy efficiency are of high importance for Kyrgyzstan. Our department focuses on studying and conducting scientific research in energy conservation for heat supply systems, hot water supply, and building energy efficiency in response to climate change.

The department’s faculty members are highly qualified specialists in building energy certification and efficiency control of boilers, heating, and hot water supply systems. Their expertise is confirmed by accreditation from the State Agency for Architecture and Housing under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and their inclusion in the State Register of Independent Accredited Experts.

Building energy certification determines the energy efficiency class of buildings (A to G scale). According to the Kyrgyz Republic’s "Law on Building Energy Efficiency",** this process ensures rational energy resource utilization, supports energy-saving measures, and reduces CO₂ emissions.

Our faculty members actively participate in the State Program "Implementation of Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency Policy in the Kyrgyz Republic (2023-2027)". This includes:

  • Training engineers and technical staff as well as budget organization accountants in the course "Training and Retraining of Energy Managers in the Budgetary Sector".
  • Acting as experts and trainers to improve specialist competencies and implement modern energy consumption management techniques.
