A research program, individually selected taking into account the interests and potential of each doctoral student;
Development of universal skills necessary for career growth;
High chances of completing the doctoral program on time;
A graduate of the program is able to act as an independent researcher.
The program allows the doctoral student:

conduct research on the basis of properly equipped laboratories of the university, as well as a foreign partner university during the period of research internship.
to pass during the training the necessary practices and internships for further academic career, to take part in the educational process as assistant professors, as well as to be an executor of research projects as part of a team of experienced researchers.
Qualification model of a graduate of the doctoral program "Mechanical Engineering":

Knowledge and understanding:

the latest system knowledge in the field of training/ research;
understanding the fundamental principles and methods of research activity;
possession of an interdisciplinary approach
Skills:

the ability to assess the relevance of the problem, to draw up and implement a research plan in accordance with accepted academic criteria.
possession of the most modern skills and technologies, solving critical problems of science and innovation.
the ability to generate new and rethink existing knowledge
Personal competencies:

demonstrates independence, innovation, scientific and professional integrity, as well as a steady commitment to the development of new ideas or processes in advanced areas of professional activity or training, including research.
is responsible for implementing the results of its research at the institutional level and/or industry-wide.
supervises research or professional groups in solving complex, including interdisciplinary tasks.
Training period

The standard period of study is four years and begins with enrollment in the doctoral program. In special cases, within the framework of an individual curriculum, the study period can be extended for up to one year.

Teaching methods

Approximately 25% of the study time is devoted to disciplines directly related to the subject of research, disciplines from related fields that contribute to the formation of pedagogical competencies, the development of skills in the use of information technology and personal competencies. The rest of the time is devoted to instilling research skills, working on a specific research task and developing professional skills.

Evaluation system

Specific rules and forms of assessment are brought to the attention of doctoral students at the beginning of the module (semester). Credits for the academic component of the program are awarded upon successful completion of the intermediate certification in the relevant discipline (module).

The main criterion for the completion of a doctoral research and educational program is the development of at least 240 credits by a doctoral student, including 60 credits of academic disciplines (modules) and 180 credits of research work, including research internships, internships and all types of certifications, including public defense of a PhD thesis.
