On April 3, 2025, a round table on "Modern methods of education: development of dual and project-based learning" was held at the Higher School of Economics and Business of the I. Razzakov KSTU.

The event was attended by representatives of business, educational institutions, teachers and students interested in the transformation of educational processes and the training of specialists in demand in the labor market.

The rector of the I. Razzakov KSTU M.K. Chynybayev, the head of the educational department K.M. Dykanaliev and the director of the Higher School of Economics and Business Ch.K. Sydykova delivered a welcoming speech to the participants of the event.

In their speeches, they stressed the need to transform higher education through the integration of dual and project-based learning into the educational process and noted the steps taken by KSTU to achieve synergy between theoretical and practical training in the training of future specialists.

An active discussion took place at the round table with the participation of representatives of universities, the construction sector, the banking sector, government agencies and the secondary vocational education system. The main topic of discussion was the introduction of dual and project-based training to train qualified specialists who meet the requirements of the labor market.

The participants noted that one of the main problems remains the lack of preparedness of graduates for real working conditions. To solve this problem, it was proposed to strengthen the practical part of educational programs.

Representatives of the construction industry, such as EMARK Group LLC, Avangard Style LLC, Garant Project Architecture LLC and Level Construction LLC, emphasized the importance of preparing students for direct employment and integrating theoretical knowledge with real projects.

Representatives of the banking sector, including Bakai Bank JSC, FINKA Bank CJSC, Bank Asman CJSC and Mbank JSC, announced their readiness to participate in dual training, offering students internship and mentoring opportunities.

Government agencies such as Kyrgyzavtozhol-Tunduk, NESK JSC and the Economic and Technical Control Inspectorate have focused on training personnel capable of effectively managing projects in the context of budget financing.

Representatives of other business sectors, such as DanAgroProduct LLC, CREED marketing agency, FUN TRIP travel company, Blandgroup LLC and others, noted the importance of involving students in the educational process through guest lectures, workshops and seminars to better understand the professions.

The heads of educational programs at the Higher School of Economics and Business confirmed their willingness to modernize existing programs and develop new ones based on dual and project-based learning. According to the participants, the success of such initiatives depends on three factors: the active role of universities, mentoring from employers and personal responsibility of students.

Representatives of the secondary vocational education system, such as colleges of the I. Razzakov KSTU, the Asian Innovation College and others, shared their successful experience in implementing dual education and expressed their willingness to cooperate with universities and businesses. This makes it possible to create a single chain of education: student – educational institution – university – employer.

The participants of the round table unanimously supported the idea of close integration of education and practice. In the near future, it is planned to develop pilot programs that will become the basis for training competitive specialists. The organizers noted that this approach would not only reduce the gap between theory and practice, but also increase the demand for graduates in the labor market.
