On April 8, 2025, the grand opening of the Academy of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) took place at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.
Created with the support of LG Electronics, this educational and research center will become an important platform for training highly qualified specialists in the field of climate technology, energy conservation and engineering systems.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, the diplomatic corps and the business community.
Welcoming speeches were delivered by Ainura Israilova, Head of the Department of Higher, Secondary Vocational and Postgraduate Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic, representative of the Ministry of Architecture, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Kyrgyz Republic, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Korea to the Kyrgyz Republic Kim Kwang Jae, President of LG Electronics for Central Asia Hack Hyon Kim (Hak-hyon Kim), Rector of KSTU Mirlan Chynybayev, as well as founder of Poly Technology LLC Japar Usenov.
The Academy, established on the basis of the Department of Heat Supply, Gas Supply and Ventilation of KSTU, provides students with a unique opportunity to study modern climate technologies not only theoretically, but also in practice.
The center is equipped with the latest heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems from LG, which creates conditions for students to work with advanced technologies in practice.
"The opening of the HVAC Academy is an important step in the development of engineering education in the Kyrgyz Republic. Students will now be able to gain hands-on experience working with LG's advanced solutions. We always support initiatives aimed at developing technologies and training new professionals.
This project became possible thanks to the cooperation of the university and Poly Technology company. We express our gratitude to them," said Hak Hyun Kim, President of LG Electronics for Central Asia.
"LG Academy is a new stage in the transformation of engineering education. Here, students do not just study, but design, create and bring innovations to life. This is the space of the future, in which engineers of new thinking are being formed," said Rector M.K. Chynybayev.
As part of the educational process, students learn practical skills in working with HVAC systems, study LG software and get acquainted with the company's implemented projects.
Working with modern equipment, they become competitive specialists in the labor market.
