The meeting of the Presidium of the World Academy of Mining Sciences was held for the first time in Kyrgyzstan, on September 12-15 at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov.
The goals and objectives of VAGN are: promoting the development of the mining industry of the participating countries; conducting independent fundamental and applied research in priority areas of mining sciences; assistance in the formation of a strategy for scientific, technical and socio-economic development of mining complexes of the participating countries; promoting the integration of mining complexes of the participating countries into the Eurasian and global space; organizing and conducting independent scientific research on current issues in mining; assistance in the development of draft laws and other regulations relating to issues related to the goals and objectives of the activities of VAGN.
The meeting was attended by heads of the national academies of mining sciences of Mongolia, Russia, Uzbekistan, Georgia, Germany, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, as well as representatives of leading mining and metallurgical plants, research and development enterprises of Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan , incl. KSTU named after. I. Razzakova – Director of the Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Institute named after. acad. U. Asanaliev Professor Maralbaev Akylbek Oskonbaevich and Director of the Scientific and Technical Center named after. prof. Sh.A. Mambetova "Geoquantum" Doctor of Technical Sciences Abdiev Arstanbek Raimbekovich.
The participants of the presidium meeting congratulated the representatives of Kyrgyzstan on the creation of the Academy of Mining Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, and elected Mr. Ochirbat Punsalmaagiin, the first President of Mongolia (1990-1997), as the chairman of the presidium of the VAGN - the President of the Academy of Mining Sciences of Mongolia.
A new explosives research institute has been approved, located in Georgia. The forms and types of VAGN awards have been approved.
New academicians of VAGN were elected - this is Professor Maralbaev A.O. and Doctor of Technical Sciences Abdiev A.R.
On September 13, the participants of the VAGN meeting held a visiting meeting at Altynken LLC at the Taldy-Bulak Levoberezhny gold deposit.
Members of the Presidium of VAGN and invited participants of the VAGN meeting express deep gratitude to the administration of KSTU for organizing and holding meetings. I. Razzakova and the management of Altynken LLC are at a high level.
