From August 24 to August 26, 2023, the delegation of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, headed by Vice-Rector for International Relations Chymyrov A.U. visited a number of institutes, research centers and laboratories of the Siberian Federal University - SibFU (Krasnoyarsk, Russian Federation).

The delegation included the director of the Kyrgyz Mining and Metallurgical Institute. U. Asanalieva Maralbaev A.O., Director of the Institute of Transport and Robotics Matkerimov T.Y. and director of the Energy Institute Tentiev R.B.

The main goals of the trip of our colleagues were the academic mobility of students and teachers, the exchange of experience in university activities and the implementation of joint educational programs and research projects within the framework of the tasks of internationalization of scientific and educational services, enshrined in the relevant agreements between the two universities.

In particular, they met with employees of the Institute of Oil and Gas, the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals, the Polytechnic Institute and the Civil Engineering Institute. During the visit, acquaintance with the laboratories and the library of SibFU took place. Of particular interest were the "Green Station" (laboratory with energy self-sufficiency), the laboratory of mechanical engineering and energy, equipped with modern technologies for the processing of metals (including jewelry), as well as the laboratories of electric power, standardization, certification and quality management.

Educational programs were considered in areas related to ground vehicles, the operation of transport and technological machines and complexes, applied geology, geological exploration technology, mining, construction, etc.

During official negotiations, the parties agreed to exchange curricula in order to develop joint undergraduate and graduate educational programs in the future.

Partner universities will accommodate free of charge students arriving under mobility programs on a parity basis (one KSTU graduate was admitted to the master's program at SibFU on preferential terms this year).

Of particular interest to us is the organization of internships for KSTU students on the basis of SibFU production partners, which include the largest state corporations Rosneft, Gazprom, Rosatom, Norilsk Nickel, as well as the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP and other industrial and world-class mining companies.

It should be noted that the exchange of teachers and scientific internships of our young scientists in SibFU will improve the quality of teaching and training of personnel in demand for Kyrgyzstan.
