The Ambassador of Germany to Kyrgyzstan, Ms. Gabriela Gellil, visited KSTU named after I. Razzakov.

During the meeting, a meeting was organized with the delegation from TU Ilmenau, with the leadership of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, with the heads of departments of the Kyrgyz-German Technical Institute, and a tour of the KSTI laboratories was also organized.

Rector of KSTU named after I. Razzakov Chynybaev M.K. acquainted the Ambassador of Germany, Mrs. Gabriela Gellil, with the activities of KSTU named after I. Razzakov and the importance of international cooperation between universities in Germany and Kyrgyzstan.

Director of KSTI Usupkozhoeva A.A. presented KSTI, in which she noted the main results of the institute's work in both educational and research activities.

The head of the delegation from TU Ilmenau, Mr. Hannes Toepfer, informed the ambassador about the upcoming joint work between TU Ilmenau and KSTI in the framework of educational and research programs.

In turn, Ambassador Gabriela Gellil noted that Kyrgyzstan is a strategic partner for Germany and is always interested in cooperation in various fields of activity. According to her, the education and science sector for Germany will always remain priority areas for joint cooperation between the two countries, and Germany, to the extent possible, despite the existing difficulties, will make every effort to support this sector.

Ms. Gabriela Gellil noted that the in-depth study of the German language by KSTI students should be one of the priority areas in the preparation of future personnel who wish to continue their studies in Germany.

At the same time, she stressed that in recent years in many schools the teaching of the German language has been reduced, which she considers this phenomenon not optimistic for children who would like to receive education in Germany in the future.

In the German language center, the head of the center, Sh. Toktosunova, introduced the ambassador to the new methods of teaching the German language for students of the KSTI majors.

Based on the results of the tour of the KSTI laboratories, Ms. Gabriela Gellil noted that one of the priority areas for the training of engineering personnel should be given special attention to gender equality. Since, lately, not so many girls are interested in the exact sciences and fewer girls choose engineering, mathematics, science, which is not such a good indicator in many countries.

At the end, Mrs. Ambassador Gabriela Gellil thanked for the invitation and organization of the excursion and wished further success to the Kyrgyz-German Technical Institute.
