From September 15 to September 17, 2022, the V-th congress of the Association of Asian Universities (AAU) was held at the Altai State University (Barnaul, Russia), in which Orozobekova A.K., Head of the Department of Applied Informatics, took part from our university.
First, the Chairman from Kyrgyzstan Sadykov K. Zh. reported the results of the work done for the reporting period and handed over the reins of government for the near future to the Rector of Samarkand State University named after. Sh. Rashidov R.Khalmuradov. At the congress of KSTU named after I. Razzakova was approved as the coordinating university for engineering and IT areas in the Kyrgyz Republic.
The next day, the 5th International Educational Forum "Altai-Asia 2022: Eurasian Educational Space - New Challenges and Best Practices" began its work in Belokurikha, organized with the assistance of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia and the SCO University. The forum was organized within four expert sessions:
Internationalization of higher education in a changing international context: transformation of strategic approaches in the international activities of universities and the search for anti-crisis solutions;
The main trends in the networking of universities in the Russian-Asian scientific and educational space: strategic priorities, forms of partnerships. Current state and prospects;
Digital transformation and scenarios for the development of higher education in the international context;
"Internal" internationalization: the importance of international cooperation at the local level.
The next day, the National Administration of the SCO University organized discussions at the Forum sites on the most pressing topics of international cooperation in the higher education system. It should be noted that the release of the monograph “Shanghai Cooperation Organization: Exploring New Horizons” was timed to coincide with this event, in which all materials from universities in Russia, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan were collected under the heading “Best International Educational Programs and Practices”.
An example of successful interaction at the level of the 2nd master's degree program, implemented in IT technologies by two universities - AltSU and KSUСTA, was highlighted, and within which the academic mobility of students from both universities is implemented.
In addition, our delegate Orozobekova A.K. managed to get acquainted with the activities of the laboratory of space monitoring and computing technologies of Altai State University and discuss further tasks and perspectives for cooperation with the director of the Institute of Digital Technologies, Electronics and Physics Makarov S.V.
