On September 22 - 23, 2022, events were held dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the formation of the Russian-Kyrgyz Consortium of Technical Universities - RKCTU.

The X-th General Meeting was attended by representatives of 23 Russian universities (including 3 remotely) and 9 universities of Kyrgyzstan. Traditionally, it took place in Issyk-Kul, and this time the organizers were: KSTU named after I. Razzakov, ISU named after. K. Tynystanov and Kyrgyz Aviation Institute named after. I. Abdraimov.

Moderator, Co-Chairman of the Board of the RKCTU, Rector of the National Research University "MEI" Rogalev N.D. and rector of KSTU Chynybaev M.K. welcomed the participants.

The report of the Consortium secretariat for the past year noted that in the 2021/22 academic year, 266 students studied at the universities of Kyrgyzstan in 22 areas of training (23 joint educational programs - JEP).

Most of them are in the bachelor's degree, although several master's programs are being implemented simultaneously: 143 people in the 1st year of the bachelor's degree, 113 in the 2nd year of the bachelor's degree and 10 in the master's program. It so happened that 241 students represent KSTU and 25 students represent KSUCTA named after N. Isanov.

On the Russian side, 10 universities are participating in the ongoing JEPs. Currently, there are 17 bachelor students studying in 5,6-7,8 semestеr, 37 students in the master's program and 5 in postgraduate studies. This year, 8 JEP students received diplomas from the National Research University "MEI", Kazan State Power Engineering University and Mordovian State University named after N.P. Ogarev, second diplomas were awarded by the State Attestation Committee of KSTU.

In addition, 89% of bachelor's graduates entered the master's program (including 63% in Russian universities). We also note that all JEP graduates are successfully employed.

As part of the anniversary events of the RKCTU, in February 2022, a seminar was organized and held on the topic “Methodological recommendations for the organization and implementation of JEPs” via videoconference, in which 81 representatives from 15 universities of Kyrgyzstan and Russia took part, and each of them received a certificate.

The next selection campaign for studying at Russian universities starts on October 1, therefore, at present, the RKKTU universities are promptly completing the coordination of the lists of SOP students, followed by sending a consolidated application for the allocation of target quotas for the coming year for registration on the Education-in-Russia.com portal.

The draft application for 2023 contains 75 students studying in 8 areas of study (including 41 undergraduate students, 1 specialist and 27 masters), and 2 graduates were recommended for admission to postgraduate studies. It is also planned to send 4 teachers from Kyrgyz universities to additional professional education programs in order to improve their skills.

The list of Russian universities that accept JEP students consists of 7 universities.

Now the Consortium includes 40 Russian universities from 24 cities and 15 Kyrgyz universities from 7 cities.

Representatives of the member universities of the Consortium adopted the RKCTU Work Plan for the 2022/23 academic year and the final protocol of the General Meeting.

At the same time, the traditional VIII International Network Scientific and Technical Conference "Integration Processes in the Scientific, Technical and Educational Space" was held.

The final report was made by the Vice Rector of KSTU Torobekov B., who in his report noted that in total at the meetings of the sections more than 80 reports were heard on the problems of improving the quality of training, digitalization and global integration of science and education, the development of new materials and technologies, raising the technical level in the field of automation of production, construction, mechanical engineering, etc.

A number of reports were recommended for publication in the leading scientific journals of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. In conclusion, the members of the Consortium unanimously approved the final resolution of the conference.
