KSTU named after I. Razzakov announces the start of registration for the second module “Geospatial Models and Representations” of the advanced training course on modern geoinformation technologies and remote sensing of the Earth called “Digital Earth Qualification”.

The course curricula were developed within the framework of the project DEvision - (Digitally connecting real and virtual environments) funded by OeAD - Austria's Agency for Education and Internationalization within the framework of the APPEAR program - Austrian Partnership Program in the field of higher education and research (Austrian Partnership Program in Higher Education and Research for Development).

Classes will be taught by highly qualified teachers from the University of Salzburg in Austria and the Department of Geodesy and Geoinformatics of KSTU. I. Razzakova.

The main goal of developing and delivering advanced training courses is to build the capacity of specialists from various sectors in the field of Digital Earth.

Upon completion, graduates of the courses will gain knowledge in digital technologies, geographic information systems, the use of digital data about the Earth at the global and local levels, and the analysis and interpretation of geospatial data.

Upon successful completion of the course, a state-issued certificate is issued.

The courses consist of five modules:

1. Digital Earth Basics (5 ECTS) (03/16/2024-04/20/2024)

2. Geospatial Models and Representations (5 ECTS) (05/11/2024-06/15/2024)

3. Geovisualization and Geocommunication (5 ECTS) (October-November, 2024)

4. Remote Sensing and Image Analysis (5 ECTS) (November-December, 2024)

5. Spatial Analysis (5 ECTS) (January-February, 2025)

The cost of one module (5 ECTS) is 3,000 soms for KSTU employees and students and 4,500 soms for all others.

The duration of one module is 1.5 months.

Classes will be held outside of working hours in an offline format.
