From November 30 to December 3, 2023, the delegation of Zhejiang Water Resources and Hydropower University (ZJWEU) and Zhejiang First Hydropower Construction Group visited KSTU named after Razzakov on a working visit

The visit took place within the framework of a five-party Agreement between KSTU named after Yi Razzakov, Zhejiang Water Resources and Hydropower University (ZJWEU), Zhejiang Institute of Communications (ZJIC), Zhejiang First Hydropower Construction Group and Zhejiang Jiaogong International Engineering for the implementation of the Lu Workshop project Ban in Kyrgyzstan" on the basis of KSTU.

The purpose of the visit of a delegation of nine people led by the Vice-President of ZJWEU prof. Li Zhenghui were familiarized with KSTU. I. Razzakova and the progress of the “Luban Workshop” project at KSTU, excursions and visits to future laboratories of the project, discussion of issues of placement, setup and use of new laboratory equipment, the beginning of joint educational activities, exchange of students and teachers.

During these visits, the Chinese partners also got acquainted with local university stakeholders, Kyrgyz and Chinese enterprises and government agencies working in the fields of construction, energy and higher education.

It was decided to build the “Luban Workshop” on the basis of the Kyrgyz Civil Engineering Institute named after N. Isanov by creating new and updating existing educational laboratories of KSTU “Construction and operation of roads and bridges”, “Hydraulic engineering”, “Engineering geodesy”, “Automation of energy systems", "Mechanical Engineering Technology" and "Design Automation".

The delegation of the Zhejiang Water Resources and Hydropower University (ZJWEU) and the Zhejiang First Hydropower Construction Group company was received by the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Kendirbayeva Dogdurkul Sharsheevna, who promised full support for the project “Lu Ban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan” based on KSTU.

Rector of KSTU named after I Razzakov Mirlan Koychubekovich Chynybaev especially noted the importance of visiting the university by the President of the Zhejiang First Hydropower Construction Group company, Mr. Lin Daoye, Vice President Du Rongce and other members of this large company with experience and large-scale projects for the construction of large hydroelectric power stations, high-rise buildings, roads and hydraulic structures.

The delegation visited two sites of future small hydroelectric power stations in the Alamedin River Gorge, which will be discussed with the aim of constructing such stations with the support of the Zhejiang First Hydropower Construction Group company.

The delegation was received by the Deputy Minister of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic Nazgul Zhorobekovna Usenova. She noted the high role of the development of the country's energy industry in cooperation with scientific institutions, companies and universities of the PRC.

The Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic is ready to provide benefits for construction sites and distribution systems of electrical energy generated by private companies.

The renovation of the laboratory base of KSTU will be followed by the joint training of highly qualified specialists for the construction and energy industries of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with international standards, the organization of academic mobility of students and teachers of educational institutions of the two countries.

Due to growing cooperation with Chinese partners, the university is introducing Chinese into its educational programs as a foreign language.

Our students with knowledge of the Chinese language can further continue their studies at Chinese universities and work in Chinese and joint venture companies.

For this purpose, a second Confucius Class is being created at our university and students of KSTU named after I. Razzakov are studying Chinese with native speakers.

At the conclusion of the meetings, the University Working Group discussed and clarified the roadmap for the implementation of the project “Lu Ban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan”, which provides for the creation and grand opening of a new “Luban Workshop” on the basis of KSTU named after I. Razzakov in the fall of 2023.
