Rector of KSTU named after Razzakov Chynybaev M.K. and Vice-Rector for International Relations Chymyrov A.U. paid a working visit to the city of Hangzhou, China.

On November 21, 2023, representatives of KSTU took part in the conference “One Belt, One Road in Chenzhjiang”, where 20 international agreements on projects were signed, including a five-party Agreement between KSTU named after I Razzakov, Zhejiang Water Resources and Hydropower University (ZJWEU), Zhejiang Institute of Communications (ZJIC), the companies "Zhejiang First Hydropower Construction Group" and "Zhejiang Jiaogong International Engineering" on the implementation of the project "Lu Ban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan" on the basis of KSTU and the Agreement on the construction by Chinese investors of more than ten small hydroelectric power stations in Kyrgyzstan.

Within the framework of the project “Lu Ban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan”, signed by the rector M.K. Chynybaev, it is planned to create new and update existing educational laboratories of KSTU “Construction and operation of roads and bridges”, “Hydraulic engineering”, “Engineering geodesy”, “Automation of energy systems", "Mechanical Engineering Technology" and "Design Automation". Project partner Zhejiang First Hydropower Construction Group is one of the leaders in China in the construction of hydroelectric power stations and hydraulic structures.

The parties agreed on the quantities and technical parameters of laboratory equipment offered by the company as sponsorship in the amount of more than 2.5 million yuan (more than 30 million soms).

As part of the trip, the KSTU delegation visited the educational and scientific laboratories of ZJWEU and ZJIC, met with university teachers and engineers to familiarize themselves with and select laboratory equipment for the construction and operation of roads, bridges, buildings and structures, automation of production and automation of power distribution.

A list and specification of laboratory equipment worth more than 3.5 million yuan (about 43 million soms) were agreed upon.

November 23, rector Chynybaev M.K. signed an agreement with Beijing Superstar Information Technology to provide sponsorship from this company in the form of modern computers, software, office equipment, wide screens and furniture for two smart classrooms of KSTU. Two delegations of Chinese partners of the project “Lu Ban Workshop in Kyrgyzstan” will visit KSTU named after. I. Razzakova in November-December 2023 to get acquainted with the university, to discuss issues of placement, adjustment and use of new laboratory equipment, the beginning of joint educational activities, exchange of students and teachers.

During these visits, the Chinese partners also wish to get to know the university's local stakeholders, Kyrgyz and Chinese enterprises and government agencies working in the fields of road construction, hydropower and higher education.

The next stage, following the renovation of the laboratory base of KSTU, will be the joint training of highly qualified specialists for the construction and energy industries of Kyrgyzstan in accordance with international standards, the organization of academic mobility of students and teachers of educational institutions of the two countries.

Due to growing cooperation with Chinese partners, our university is introducing Chinese into its educational programs as a foreign language.

Our students with knowledge of the Chinese language can further continue their studies at Chinese universities and work in Chinese and joint venture companies. For this purpose, a second Confucius Class is being created at our university and students of KSTU named after I. Razzakov are learning Chinese with the help of native speaker volunteers.
