In order to intensify work to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people, the I. Razzakov KSTU hosted a football tournament “Youth against tobacco”.

The purpose of this tournament was to attract the attention of young people to the problem of harm caused by addiction to tobacco and to promote an active healthy lifestyle.

The tournament was attended by students from universities and institutes that declared their smoke-free zones.

The event was opened by the Director of the Department for Educational Work M.A. Myrzalieva and the Deputy Directors for Educational Work of the institutes.

In her speech, M.A. Myrzalieva called on the youth of Kyrgyzstan to give up tobacco, play sports and, of course, study well!

Note that tobacco smoking is currently the cause of death for 10% of the world's adult population.

In other words, the global tobacco epidemic claims about 6 million lives each year, with more than 600,000 of them being second-hand smokers who die from inhaling second-hand smoke.

The world community was once tasked with ensuring that in the 21st century the problem of smoking disappears forever.

However, reality shows that nothing changes, and although everyone knows that smoking is harmful, nevertheless, a huge number of people continue to smoke (and this is more than half of the male and about a quarter of the female population of the planet!).

The organizers are determined to demonstrate the conditions for the formation of a new standard for a young Kyrgyzstani without bad habits, which will be one of the results of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic S.N. Zhaparov “On spiritual and moral development and physical education of the individual”
