During the period from September 10 to 13, 2023, an official delegation consisting of rector M.K. Chynybaev, Vice-Rector for International Relations A.U. Chymyrov, director of the Institute of Information Technologies G.D. Kabaeva, director of the Technological Institute I.A. Rysbaeva and director of the Institute of Architecture and Design S.T. Kozhobaeva paid a working visit to the University of Óbuda (Budapest, Hungary).

This university is one of the best educational institutions in the country, ranking 30th in the world university rankings according to QS.

Our delegation was received by the rector of the university, Mr. Levante Kovacs, and during the meeting he and M.K. Chynybayev signed a “Roadmap for the development of joint cooperation”, covering the issues of forming joint educational programs of “double diplomas”, the creation of joint research laboratories in the field of information technology, light industry, architecture and geoinformatics.

Then the KSTU delegation took part in the grand opening ceremony of the new academic year and a scientific symposium dedicated to the use of “artificial intelligence” in various applied fields.

We also note meetings with deans of specialized faculties. So, Kabaeva G.D. Together with the Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Mr. George Eigner, we agreed on cooperation in the field of “artificial intelligence” and machine learning, the introduction of “double degree” programs in master’s programs and academic mobility of bachelors, master’s students, doctoral students and teacher internships.

At the meeting I.A. Rysbaeva and the Dean of the Faculty of Light Industry and Environmental Engineering, Mr. László Koltai, reached an agreement on the academic exchange of students in two disciplines: “Design and design of products in the clothing industry” and “CAD - 3D modeling with Solid Edge ST5”. As part of academic mobility, undergraduate and graduate curricula will be coordinated in the direction of “Technology and design of light industry products.”

Also, during a conversation with the head of the Institute of Product Design, President of the Hungarian Society of Textile Technology and Science, Mrs. Csanák Edit, an Agreement was signed on joint activities as part of research groups on clothing production technology and innovation, the creation of a textile composite laboratory and the implementation of a project on composite materials.

Finally, S.T. Kozhobaeva agreed with the Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, Mr. Anthony Gall, about a semester-long academic exchange of students and the implementation of joint scientific projects in their field.

At the end of the visit, excursions to the laboratories and educational and scientific centers of the Hungarian University were organized for members of our delegation. The parties decided to maintain further contacts with each other on a regular basis on all points of the road map, discussing emerging problems online.

As part of the trip, a meeting was also held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to Hungary Kushchubekov T.Ch., at which issues of strengthening educational, scientific and cultural cooperation between the countries were discussed.
