On May 23, a workout site was opened on the main campus of KSTU named after I. Razzakov as part of the project "Effective management and prevention of NCDs in Kyrgyzstan", funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

The main goal of the program is to promote health and prevent non-communicable diseases among students, create an enabling environment at universities to promote physical activity and healthy eating.

As guests were invited:

1. Project manager - Jamangulova Tolkun Dzholdoshovna;

2. Project Health Program Coordinator - Aidaraliev Rakhatbek Bokonovich;

3. International expert of the project on health promotion - Ms. Silke Graeser;

4. Chief physician of the City polyclinic of students of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic - Isabekova Damira Beyshekadyrovna.

The event was opened with a solemn speech by the rector of KSTU. I. Razzakova Chynybaev M.K.: “Hello, dear guests, teachers and students! First of all, I would like to express my gratitude to the project manager, Tolkun Dzholdoshovna, for the opportunity to participate in this competition. As you know, promising athletes study at our university. Honored athletes of the Kyrgyz Republic graduated from our university: Aisuluu Tynybekova, Aiperi Medet kyzy. During the Universiade 2023, our students also won a considerable number of medals. I am very glad that our guys have the opportunity to spend their free time effectively and usefully.”

KSTU students decorated the event with their dance shows and songs.

Then all the guests went to the site for cutting the red ribbon and the official opening of the workout site.

The project "Effective management and prevention of non-communicable diseases in Kyrgyzstan", funded by the Government of Switzerland, aims to improve the health and well-being of the population of Kyrgyzstan by improving access to quality primary health care services and promoting a healthy lifestyle
