On March 16-17, 2023, Bishkek hosted the International Energy Forum of the EAEU Member States: RES, innovative developments and digital transformation in special economic conditions.

The forum was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Energy, large energy companies, universities and projects of the EAEU member countries and other states.

The event covered discussion of various issues, including the expansion of the use of renewable energy sources in the energy balances of the EAEU member states, digital transformation taking into account gender issues in special economic conditions and human resources in the energy sector, taking into account the participation of women in the development of energy systems.

The forum featured reports and presentations by experts and participants from different EAEU countries discussing important issues in the field of energy, such as the development of renewable energy sources, the use of new technologies and innovations, as well as the problems of digital transformation in a special economic situation. The forum participants also discussed energy cooperation between the EAEU countries and energy security issues in the region.

The Forum was organized by the Association of Women in the Energy Industry of Kyrgyzstan and the Eurasian Economic Commission. The event was designed to draw attention to topical issues related to the development of the energy sector and provide a platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge between experts and industry participants.

Within the framework of this Forum, a tripartite Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Association of Women in the Energy Industry of Kyrgyzstan, the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov (Kyrgyzstan) and Almaty University of Energy and Communications named after Daukeeva (Kazakhstan). According to the signed document, there will be an exchange of students and women specialists in the energy sector between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan to improve their skills and exchange experience.

The International Energy Forum of the EAEU countries has become an important platform for discussions and exchange of experience in the field of energy in the region, and we hope that it will become a regular event to support and develop the industry, the Forum participants concluded.
