On September 27, 2022, KSTU named after  I. Razzakov and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic signed a memorandum of cooperation in order to strengthen the institutional capacity to ensure road safety.

This project will be implemented with the support of the Asian Development Bank and the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic.

As part of the implementation of the memorandum of cooperation on the basis of the department "Exploitation of transport and technological machines" of KSTU named after I. Razzakov, a Training and Technical Center - “System: Driver - Car - Road - Environment” (DCRE) will be created.
Qualified training of students and other trainees will be carried out in the interests of both parties, in the following areas:

  • conducting training courses of road safety;
  • conducting training courses on conducting an audit of road safety in the operational conditions of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • conducting training and experimental tests of the traffic safety of vehicles in the operational conditions of the Kyrgyz Republic to assess technical and economic indicators;
  • development of educational and research work of the departments "Exploitation of transport and technological machines", "Automobile and railways, bridges and tunnels" and "Organization of transportation and traffic safety" of KSTU named after I. Razzakov;
  • training of workers for the transport and road industry of the Kyrgyz Republic;
  • conducting of advanced trainings.

As part of the reforms of the road transport industry, as well as the implementation of the Regional Road Safety Strategy of the CAREC countries for 2017-2030 and the United Nations Global Plan "Decade of Action for Road Safety for 2021-2030". In the working practice of the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic the procedure "Audit of road safety" will be introduced in the design, reconstruction and exploitation of car roads of international and republican significance.
