To form an idea among doctoral students about the economic essence of financial and investment engineering, its genesis, the factors that determined and determine the direction of the development of science, and also develop the skills of analytical thinking and the use of comparative, historical research methods.

LO 1. Knows the methods of financial and investment engineering and technologies for the development of financial instruments and financial strategies; tools of financial and investment engineering, the possibility of their use; prospects and trends in the development of financial and investment engineering, as well as its product range.

LO 2. Able to use knowledge of the theory of financial and investment engineering for practical activities in the development of new financial products and financial technologies; adapt the results of financial and investment engineering obtained in international practice for their use in practice.

LO 3. Possess the skills of research activities; a systematic understanding of the application of financial and investment engineering; the skills of analyzing the financial and economic situation of the client in order to design investment and financial instruments and develop financial and investment strategies that meet the needs of the client.

LO 4. Demonstrate the ability and willingness to apply methodologies for creating new financial and investment instruments; conduct a comprehensive analysis of innovative financial products; possession of skills in forecasting the directions of development of financial and investment engineering, as well as its product range.
