10.23.2025 online seminar "Green campuses and environmental education"

I. The international online seminar "Green campuses and environmental education" was held at the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after Razzakov with the support of the ICALMIS+ program.

The event was opened by Gulnara Isaeva, National coordinator of the RASMI+ program in Kyrgyzstan, and Mirlan Koychubekovich Chynybayev, Rector of KSTU. They noted that the development of environmental education and the creation of "green campuses" focused on sustainable development is one of the most important areas of modernization of the country's higher education system.

Representatives of the Kyrgyz State Technical University also took an active part.:

Gulnara Kabayeva -Director of the Institute of Information Technology (IIT) ;

Omurov Zhyrgalbek -Head of the Technosphere Safety Department;

Bekbolotova Aigul Kerimkulovna is a professor at the Department of Technosphere Safety.

Following the results of the seminar, the National Office of the Erasmus+ Program in Kyrgyzstan and KNRTU jointly developed a "roadmap for the transition to green development in the Kyrgyz higher education system."

This document defines the priorities, goals and mechanisms for implementing sustainable development practices in the country's universities for the period up to 2030 and serves as a guiding document in shaping the national policy of "green" higher education.

The latest panel discussion brought together international experts and representatives of Kyrgyz universities, and created a platform for exchanging views on ways to involve students and local communities in environmental initiatives.
