International Student Ecoforum of Central Asia

"Youth forms green thinking and sustainable development"

The Department of Technosphere Safety of the I. Razzakov KSTU, together with the Office of Green and Digital Solutions, successfully organized the International Student Ecoforum of Central Asia, which was held on November 11, 2025 in an online format.

The forum was attended by students, teachers and experts from universities in Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The main purpose of the event was the formation of green thinking, ecological culture and sustainable worldview among the youth of the region, as well as the strengthening of scientific and educational cooperation between universities in Central Asia.

Forum participants

The forum was attended by universities of Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, including KAZITU, Tashkent Agrarian University, Batken State University, Osh Technological University named after M. Adyshev and others.

Forum program

Zh.M. Omurov, Head of the Department of Technosphere Safety, delivered a welcoming speech from the I. Razzakov KSTU, who noted the contribution of the department and students to the development of environmental initiatives and innovative projects in the field of sustainable development. 

The key report "Integrating the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into the Strategy of Central Asian Universities" was presented by B.S. Zhapakova, Head of the Office of Green and Digital Solutions at KSTU.

Students of the department and other universities presented projects on green technologies, energy conservation and innovative solutions to improve the environmental situation in the region.

The forum ended with a panel discussion "The University as a center for the formation of green thinking and sustainable development" and the adoption of a resolution on the creation of an Interuniversity student Eco-community in the region.

All participants were awarded electronic certificates.

The Forum confirmed that the youth of Central Asia are ready to join forces to shape a sustainable future by introducing the ideas of green economy, environmental responsibility and sustainable development into the educational and professional environment.
