Call for application for MSc, PhD student for outgoing mobility for studies at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) for 2025/2026 academic year

2. Basic conditions of application
Students must fulfil the following general conditions:
- Be enrolled at the partner HEI at the time of application and during the stay.
- Be nominated for mobility by the partner HEI.
- Not have been previously on an Erasmus+ exchange exceeding 7 months on the same study level.
- Submit a Learning Agreement proposal for students accepted by the sending and the receiving institutions. (During the mobility period, the student participating in the mobility is obliged to complete at least 15 ECTS credits.)
- Submit an updated and official transcript of records (ToR) from the previous 2 semesters.
- To be admitted to a PhD programme at the BME as an exchange student, prior written approval from the coordinator of this PhD is compulsory.
- Erasmus beneficiary students must prove they have sufficient knowledge of English language (requirement is B2 or higher in English according to CEFR)
Conclusion of the Learning Agreement for Studies (LA) with agreed content is required before the start of the partial transfer exchanges. The LA signed by all three parties (student, sending university, receiving university) contains the list of subjects/courses that can be taken at BME and the list of majors accepted as equivalent at BME and the credit values assigned to them.
3. Documents required for submitting an Erasmus+ student mobility application
- Application form (you will receive the form at the room 1/335 - KSTU)
- Credit certificate of for the semesters completed during the curricula of the candidate (at least 2 semester). In the case of MSc and doctoral programmes, if the applicant has not yet completed a semester, a certificate of the last semester of the previous BSc's or MSc's programme may be submitted.
- Proof of language proficiency of at least level B2.
- The applicant's CV in English.
- A letter of motivation written by the applicant.
- Student Status Certificate
- Copy of international passport (first spread)
4. Criteria for evaluation and method of the evaluation/selection process
Eligibility criteria for application and the professional evaluation issues are assured by the participating HEI through their coordination units: Faculties and Erasmus+ Evaluation Committee (EC). EC consisting of two or three senior staff members, including the project coordinators of the participating universities. The selected student participates in a short interview in English with the EC via an online video conference to check the level of his/her spoken English*. The evaluation committee will rank the applicants based on their academic performance and the interviews. The selection process will be based on the principles of equity, fairness, and transparency.
Basic evaluation criteria for MSc Students:
- Outstanding academic record, previous grade point average (GPA), language proficiency

- Outstanding academic record, previous grade point average (GPA), language proficiency
- Mobility Agreement Proposal feasibility and contribution to common academic interests between the sending and receiving partner institutions.
*All participants should carry out the OLS language assessment in English language before the mobility period.

5. Submission of the application:
