The restaurant business in Kyrgyzstan is one of the country's few rapidly developing sectors. According to the State Tax Service, there are 2,594 public catering establishments in Kyrgyzstan, including canteens, teahouses, cafés, restaurants, clubs, pizzerias, and other food service enterprises.

According to the Methodology for Forecasting Labor Market Demand, the need for employees in the restaurant and hospitality industry for the period 2018–2022 was projected accordingly.

One of the key criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the faculty departments and the implementation of their strategic development plans is the employment rate of graduates. Graduates of the Technological Institute are in high demand, as the food and light industries of the country continue to develop steadily. The quality of specialist training at the faculty consistently meets modern requirements. Graduates possess a solid foundation in fundamental, engineering, and specialized disciplines, are proficient in computer technologies, programming, and foreign languages, and are therefore able to adapt quickly to the production environment. They are qualified to work in responsible positions in both public and private sectors, establish their own businesses, become entrepreneurs, and manage enterprises and organizations at various levels.

Graduates of the Department of Technology of Public Catering Products are employed at leading public catering enterprises in the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as in neighboring countries (Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, etc.) and abroad (Turkey, Germany, and others).

The department graduates 40–50 bachelor's degree students annually. The graduate employment rate is 95–98%.

The Technological Institute and the department continuously collect information on graduate employment, and these data are updated annually.

Industry representatives regularly participate in educational activities twice a year. To assess the quality of graduate training, employers serve as members of the State Attestation Commissions (SAC), participate in developing research projects commissioned by industry, contribute to selecting topics for final qualification theses, and supervise students during their industrial internships.
