Who Does the Department Train?

The department trains bachelor’s degree students in the following fields:
740300 – “Technology of Public Catering” and “Technology of Public Catering and Restaurant Business.”

About the Program “Food Product Technology and Organization of Public Catering”

The educational program “Food Product Technology and Organization of Public Catering” provides training and graduation of bachelors for professional activities in the food industry, public catering, and trade sectors.
Graduates acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the development and implementation of food production technologies, preparation and approval of recipes for culinary and confectionery products, organization and management of public catering enterprises, as well as ensuring the quality and safety of food products.

About the Program “Food Product Technology and Organization of Service in Restaurants and Hotel Complexes”

The educational program “Food Product Technology and Organization of Service in Restaurants and Hotel Complexes” provides training and graduation of bachelors for professional activities in the restaurant and hotel service sector.
Graduates possess knowledge and practical skills in food preparation and serving technologies, organization of guest services, management of restaurant and hotel service processes, ensuring service quality and safety, as well as forming a high level of service in hospitality industry enterprises.

Career Opportunities

After graduation, you will be able to work as technologists and managers at public catering enterprises, resort and sanatorium organizations; as directors and managers of public catering enterprises of various forms of ownership; as production managers in canteens, restaurants, cafés, and other food service establishments; as well as dietitians in preschool institutions and school meal service centers.

International Cooperation of the Department

The department actively develops international cooperation with universities of neighboring and distant foreign countries. Within the framework of international cooperation, the department works closely with the following universities:

  • Almaty Technological University (student internships for 2nd–3rd year students within academic mobility programs; joint student research projects);
  • Kemerovo State Technological University (Russia);
  • Ural State University of Economics.

As part of the implementation of the dual education system, curricula have been developed at the department. It is planned for students to undertake internships at food industry enterprises in Germany after the first year of study.

An agreement has been signed between the United Nations World Food Programme, the Ministry of Education and Science, and Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov on the establishment of a Republican Competence Center at the Department of Public Catering Technology to implement the State Program “Development of School Nutrition in the Kyrgyz Republic.”
To implement the project, it is planned to purchase modern technological equipment, furniture, and machinery, which will subsequently serve as the department’s laboratory base.

Form of Study

Education is provided on a state-funded (budget) and tuition-based (contract) basis.
The duration of study is 4 years.
Admission to both budget and contract forms of study is carried out only based on the results of the National Scholarship Test (ORT).

Admission Dates

Acceptance of documents begins in early July, based on ORT results and entrance examinations for applicants after college and for foreign citizens from neighboring and distant countries.

  • Passport or other identity document of the applicant;
  • Copy of military registration certificate (for those liable for military service);
  • 6 photographs (3×4 cm);
