History of the department "Technology of public catering products"
The department "Technology of public catering products" was established in 1982, the first graduation of certified specialists took place in 1983. In 1996, two departments "Technologies of public catering products" and "Technologies of meat and dairy products" merged to form a new department "Technologies of food production".
At one time, the department was headed by assoc. Moiseenko A.S., assoc. Gerasimova L.K., assoc. Mamatkerimov R.M., prof. Tamabaeva B.S., assoc. Karpunina L.I.
In 2009, the section "Technology of public catering products" was again allocated according to the rector's order No. 1/69 of April 16, 2009, which in 2010 was transformed into a department.
Since 2012, the department has started training in credit technology for bachelors in the direction 740300-"Product technology and catering organization" according to the profiles: "Technology of production and organization of public catering"; "Technology of production and organization of service in restaurants and hotel complexes", "Organization of service and catering of tourists"
In 2020, bachelor's degree courses in the direction 580300-"Commerce" in the profile "Commerce in the restaurant business" were started. Since 2017, the department has started to prepare masters in the direction 740300 "Product technology and catering organization under the program "Technology of functional food products"
