The international cooperation

In the department's development strategy until 2030, the main goal is to improve the quality of educational services provided, which requires solving a number of tasks, including further development of regional and international mobility of teachers, graduate students, doctoral students of the department and students, as well as the development of scientific and innovative activities of the department through the expansion of regional and international cooperation in the field of scientific research. research. In the light of these tasks, the department is taking certain steps to develop such cooperation through participation in various international projects.:

1. In 2022, the RESA Program (GIZ) approved a partnership proposal, namely the "Development of Research Capacities in Food Sciences in CA HEIs with Emphasis to Doctoral Studies", which involves the Kyrgyz State Technical University named after I. Razzakov and the Almaty University of Technology. The grant holder is the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (Lithuanian University of Health Sciences).

2. Together with the National Agro-Food Center (Slovak Republic), the staff of the department participated in the creation of a national database on the composition of food products in Kyrgyzstan within the framework of the Development Support Program in the field of nutritional value of food products for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia / Development Support Program of the Slovak Republic in Food Composition Area for Central and Eastern Europe and Central Asia.

3. In cooperation with the Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology, within the framework of the RESA (Professional Education for Economic Growth Sectors in Central Asia, GIZ) Program "Cross-border Cooperation" and "Tandem Educational Partnership", the project "Creation of institutional forms of cooperative higher education in the field of food technology" was implemented.

4. The SUFACHAIN project, "Promoting sustainable land management through the development of products (technological) processes and SMEs (small and medium–sized enterprises) in the field of non-wood forest products and agroforestry value chains in Central Asia," is being implemented jointly with universities and industrial enterprises in Germany, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan.

5. The project "Creation of a database on food composition in Asia" is being implemented within the framework of the Asian Food and Agriculture Cooperation Initiative (AFACI) program with the financial support of the Rural Development Authority, Republic of Korea.

6. Within the framework of the RESA (Professional Education for Economic Growth Sectors in Central Asia, Professional Education in Central Asia, GIZ) Program, a project was implemented to support PhD-doctoral studies at KSTU with the participation of ICON-INSTITUTE Consulting Group (Germany).

In addition to these projects, the department actively cooperates with universities and research institutes of neighboring countries: the Russian Federation (Moscow State University of Food Industry, All-Russian Research Institute of Dairy Industry), the Republic of Kazakhstan (Almaty Technological University, L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University, Kazakh National Agrarian Research University, South Kazakhstan University named after M. O. Auezov), RT (Technological University of Tajikistan, Khujand Polytechnic Institute of Tajik Technical University named after M.Osimi), RUz (Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology).

Academic mobility of teachers and students to universities in Kazakhstan and Tajikistan has been actively developing with the assistance of the RESA Regional Program. Negotiations were held on the development of mobility between students and teachers of the Department of Technical Technical University of Berlin (TUB).

"Academic Mobility" Program

Academic mobility at the department is carried out in accordance with the Regulations on the organization of academic mobility of students, graduate students, teachers and researchers of the I.Razzakov KSTU. Horizontal academic mobility is being implemented in the field of bachelor's and master's degree programs with regional partner universities in Central Asia and intra-country universities in the north–south configuration. Partner universities are the Kazakh National Research Agrarian University (KazNIAU), Almaty Technological University (ATU), Technological University of Tajikistan (TUT), Khujand Polytechnic Institute of Tajik Technical University (KHPITTU), Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology (THTI), Osh Technological University (OshTU), Lithuanian University of Health Sciences (LUNZ).

The organization of academic mobility of teaching staff and students is mainly carried out with the help and financial support of the Program "Vocational Education in Central Asia" (RESA, GIZ).

  The department has developed an Internationalization Program within the framework of the I.Razzakov KSTU Internationalization Strategy for 2023-2028, approved by the KSTU Academic Council and approved by Rector's Order No. 1/140 dated 06/22/2023. The program identifies indicators by type of academic mobility (incoming, outgoing) and an implementation plan has been developed to meet these indicators. Academic mobility is coordinated by the Department of International Relations and there is up-to-date information on this activity on the KSTU website.

Outgoing mobility of students of the department lasting 1 semester: 2023-202 years – 2 people, 2024-2025 years – 3 people.

Incoming mobility of selected students duration of 1 semester: 2023-2024 academic year – 4 people.

Virtual mobility: 2022-2023 - 22 people (10 of them outgoing, 12 incoming), 2023-2024 – 97 people (47 of them outgoing, 50 incoming).
