History of the "Food Science and Technology" department

The history of the emergence and functioning of the"Food Science and Technology" department begins with the first years of the organization of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute (1954). The Department was established in 1957. This is the first department that trained engineers in 3 food specialties:

• Technology of meat and meat products;

• Technology of milk and dairy products;

• Canning technology.

The department was headed by Candidate of Chemical Sciences Kheshev K.S. Afterwards, the department was headed by associate professors: Romanskaya M.N., Valeeva A.N., Sadabaev M.S., Musabaev N.A., Gerasimova L.K., Moiseenko A.S., Estebesov M.A., Kozhobekova K.K., Tamabaeva B.S., Rayimkulova Ch.O. Since the beginning of 2018, the head of the department is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor M.M. Muslimanova.

The first graduation of engineers from the meat and dairy industry was carried out in 1958. The total number of graduates was 25 people, many of whom were and are still leading industry experts: Yakovlev A.I., Palaguta L.T., Stadukhina V.V., Tambalieva K.T., Dzhaparkulova G.D. and etc.

In 1959, the department of food products was divided into 2 departments:

• "Technology of meat and dairy products";

• "Technology of canning."

The training of specialists at the department “Technology of meat and dairy products” was carried out not only for Kyrgyzstan, but also for the entire region of Central Asia according to the system of cooperative recruitment. In 1978, on the basis of the department "Technology of canning", training of engineers for trade in the specialty "Technology of Public Food Production" was carried out. In 1982, by the decision of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Kyrgyz SSR, a new educational unit was formed - the department "Technology of catering products", which in 1995 merged with the department "Technology of meat and dairy products." The new joint department was given the name "Food Technology"

At the various stages of its activity, excellent specialists and recognized authorities in their field made a great contribution to the development and formation of the department: K.S. Cheshev, A.E. Savitsky, M.N. Romanskaya, A.N. Valeeva, M.S. Sadabaev, V.G. Valiakhmetova, T.K. Yakovleva, G.A. Tarakanova, V.S. Kopylenko, N.N. Gatko, A.S. Moiseenko, R.M. Mamatkerimov, N.A. Musabaev, M.A. Estebesov, K.K. Kozhobekova, L.K. Gerasimova, B.S. Tamabaeva, M.M. Musulmanova, Ch. O. Rayimkulova.

Since the organization, the department has trained more than 7500 qualified specialists for the food industry.

 Over the years, the department has released more than 600 educational and methodological materials. Department staff: M.M. Musulmanova, Ch.O. Rayimkulova, T.A. Suponina, T.V. Kirieva, A.D. Dzhamakeeva, Ch.K. Kasymova and T.A. Korchubekova has written many textbooks and other study materials for students.

 

Veterans of the Department

Musabaev Nurdin Ailchievich

Ph.D., associate professor. He worked at the department from 1964 to 1980. He graduated from the Frunze Polytechnic Institute (1964), Moscow Technological Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry (1970), specializing in engineer-technologist. State awards: Honored Worker of Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, medal "Veteran of Labor". He issued more than 40 scientific articles, he is author of the one invention.

Mamatkerimov Rysbek Mamatkerimovich

Candidate of Economics, Associate Professor of Food Technology Department. From 1987 to 1995 he was Senior Lecturer, Associate Professor, Head of "Technology of catering" Department of I. Razzakov KTU. He is author of scientific articles and monographs “Material and technical base - the basis for the development of public catering”.

Valiakhmetova Valentina Grigoryevna

She was lecturer at the Department of Food Technology. In 1956 she entered the Frunze Polytechnic Institute at the Faculty of Mechanics and Technology. After graduating from FPI in 1961, she received a diploma of an engineer-technologist of the dairy industry. From 1961 to 1964, she worked in the dairy department of the Republican Research Laboratory as an engineer-technologist. From 1964 to 1995 she worked as a teacher at the Department of Technology of Meat and Dairy Products of the Frunze Polytechnic Institute.

Gerasimova Lyudmila Konstantinovna

Ph.D., associate professor of the "Food Technology” department. She graduated from Frunze Polytechnic Institute in 1960 with a diploma with honors and qualification of an engineer-technologist of the food industry. Since September 1960, she began working at the Department of Conservation Technology at the FPI: as a senior laboratory assistant, then teacher, senior lecturer, assistant professor, head of the department, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Technology. In 1964 she entered graduate school; in 1969 she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of chemical sciences, in 1980 she was awarded the title of associate professor in the specialty "Canning Technology". She is the author of over 150 scientific papers, 10 prepatents and patents of the Kyrgyz Republic, over 50 methodological developments.

Suponina Tatyana Alekseevna

Candidate of Technical Sciences, professor of the department "TPPP" graduated with honors from the Frunze Polytechnic Institute in 1971, having received the specialty engineer-technologist of the canning industry, was left at the department, as a trainee researcher. In 1972 she entered and in 1975 successfully completed full-time postgraduate studies at the Leningrad Technological Institute of the Refrigeration Industry, with the degree of Candidate of Technical Sciences. Over the years of work at the FPI - KSTU has gone through all stages of professional growth: teacher, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of department, professor, academic secretary. Council of the Institute, Dean of the Faculty of Technology, Head of the Department of Strategic Planning and Education Quality Management. While working as a dean, on her initiative, a set was opened for 3 new specialties in the direction of "Food Technology", "Standardization and Certification of Food Products", "Customs Examination of Food Products". From 2015 to 2019 she was a professor at the Department of Technology and Food Production.Since 1976, at a high professional level, she gave lectures, conducted laboratory and practical classes for bachelors of the direction 740100 "Technology and production of food products from raw materials of plant origin" and 740200 "Technology and production of food of animal origin", for masters of the direction 740200 "Technology and production of food of animal origin", including new, modern courses "Quality management in food enterprises", "Sustainable production in the food industry," Packaging technology". She also conducted all types of training sessions, supervised the final qualifying works of bachelors and masters. Supervised graduate students, she prepared 6 graduate students, defended two Ph.D. dissertations and four master's theses.
In 2007 Suponina T.A. awarded the title of "Best Professor of the Year". 2018 was awarded the medal "For special services to KSTU. I. Razzakov".

Rayimkulova Chynara Omurbekovna

In 1974 she entered the Frunze Polytechnic Institute at the Faculty of Technology. She graduated from the FPI with honors and received a diploma of an engineer-technologist of the meat industry. From 1982 to 1987 she studied in graduate school at the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of the Meat Industry in Moscow, where she defended her thesis. In 2006, she entered the doctoral program of Moscow State University of Applied Biotechnology.

She began her career as a senior laboratory assistant, then worked as a teacher, senior teacher, assistant professor and professor of the Food technology department. From 2001 to 2016 she worked as the head of this department at I. Razzakov KSTU.

In 2003, she graduated from a branch of the Moscow Academy of Standardization, Certification and Metrology and received a diploma of “Expert in Food Products and Agricultural Raw Materials”.

During the work at the department she conducted a great scientific and methodological work. She has released over 85 scientific, 35 methodological works and State standards for new types of meat products. She led the research work of graduate students and applicants. She was a member of the Dissertation Council, Academic Advisor to the Engineering Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of the Department of Biotechnology of Research Institute at Razzakov KSTU.

Rayimkulova Ch.O. has the badge "Excellent Education" of the Kyrgyz Republic, awarded the diploma "Best Mountain Innovator" of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources, Honorary Diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science and I. Razzakov KSTU

Tamabaeva Bibikul Suleevna

In 1965 she entered the Frunze Polytechnic Institute at the Faculty of Technology. After graduating from the FPI in 1970, having received a diploma with honors from a process engineer in the meat industry, she was left as a teacher at the Department of meat and dairy technology and sent for a one-year internship at the Moscow Technological Institute of Meat and Dairy Industries.

From 1971 to 1974 she was a graduate student at the Moscow Technological Institute of Meat and Dairy Industry.

In 1974, having completed her studies, she defended her thesis ahead of schedule and in the same year she was awarded the degree of candidate of technical sciences.

Since 1974, she was a teacher, senior teacher, and since 1980, the head of the Department of technology of meat and dairy products of FPI. From 1987 to 1992 she was Associate Professor, from 1992 to 1996 - Head of the Department of technology of meat and dairy products. In 1996, in connection with the merger of the two departments, she became the head of the Food technology department. From 2001 to 2009 she was the head of Department of catering products technology, then - as a professor at this Department. In 1998, she received the title of Corresponding Member of the Academy of Engineering of the Kyrgyz Republic. In 2016 she received the title of professor.

She conducts a large scientific and methodological work, marked with the signs "Best Methodist", "Best Lecturer." She has released over 40 educational and methodical works, including textbooks on the technology of meat and meat products. Over 230 scientific papers have been published, including: 1 invention of the USSR, 13 patents of the Kyrgyz Republic, 3 monographs, 8 State standards for new types of meat products. She supervises graduate students, two of them defended their thesis.
