Quality management system of the Institute


The quality management system as the main component of the development strategy of KSTI assumes:

Development of international activities of KSTI, improvement of the quality and scope of participation of KSTI in international and innovative programs and projects. Implementation of the quality policy in all areas of the Institute. Orientation to consumers. Improving the organizational structure of the institute and improving management efficiency.
Proper planning of all types of activities of the institute (Actions to respond to risks and opportunities. Planning for changes).
Modernization of infrastructure. Human resources (competence, awareness, communication, documented information management).
Evaluation of performance indicators (Monitoring, customer satisfaction, internal audit, results).
Improvement of all activities based on the results of the analysis.
The strategic goal of KSTI for the period up to 2025 is to fulfill the mission of the leading scientific, research, educational, methodological center in the field of technical sciences, which is one of the leading institutes of the university and makes a significant theoretical and practical contribution to the innovative development and global competitiveness of Kyrgyzstan. Achieving the designated goal involves solving the following tasks:

1. Modernization of the educational process, including the development of new educational forms, programs and standards, the introduction of new educational technologies and learning support systems, the development of international cooperation in the education system.

►Significantly strengthen the practical aspect of the educational process at the Institute. To increase in 2025 to 40% at the undergraduate level and 60% at the master's level the share of educational programs implemented jointly with employers.

►Continue the development of methodological support and the introduction of innovative technical teaching aids into the educational process.

►Intensify work on the formation of a unified information system of the educational process, filling the educational portal with modern educational and methodological support.

►To develop a methodology for testing students' knowledge using open systems of computer testing.

►Ensure a high degree of satisfaction of students and employers with the quality of education at the institute. For this purpose, introduce the practice of annual thematic surveys of teachers, students and employers.

►Develop international cooperation with leading universities in Germany for joint educational activities.

2. Modernization of the research process and innovation activities, which provides for the creation of international level research generation points, the development of innovation activities and international scientific cooperation.

►Intensify the creation of conditions and infrastructure conducive to the conduct of effective scientific research and the promotion of its results.

►Develop cooperation with leading science and technology parks of the country in order to create a scientific and educational center and a technology transfer center.

►Develop and implement measures to promote the publication of the works of academic departments in internationally recognized publications.

3.Strengthening the human resources potential, the contingent of students and the community of graduates of the department, involving the renewal of the staff, including by attracting creative forces from outside, stimulating the effective professional activity of the scientific and pedagogical staff, creating a system of work with talented youth and graduates of the institute.

►Develop and implement a system of support for young teachers from among postgraduate and master's degree graduates. Put into practice the establishment of individual stipends (salaries) for this category of workers.

►Intensify the search for and invitation to work at the institute of reputable specialists - practitioners for conducting pedagogical and research work.

►Create a system of continuous professional development for all categories of employees in the use of modern information technologies.

►Intensify the improvement of the language skills of teachers and researchers on the basis of accelerated learning of the German language.

►To develop international academic mobility of teachers and researchers in priority areas of the Institute's activities.

►To continue improving the process of employment and career development of students and graduates of the institute, including by expanding the range of activities and special training programs in order to increase their competitiveness in the labor market.

4. Modernization of infrastructure aimed at developing the technological base, systems for providing research, educational and other activities of the institute, creating a modern information infrastructure, developing classroom and laboratory facilities, ensuring high quality standards for maintaining premises.

5. Improving the organizational structure of the institute and increasing the efficiency of management, which consists in designing a new organizational structure of the institute, introducing modern technologies for strategic management, quality management.

6. Further development of international cooperation. International activity is one of the important areas of the institute's work, which is closely connected with scientific and educational processes. The main directions of the Institute's international activities include: development of partnerships with German and other foreign universities, holding joint international conferences, seminars, participation in international educational and scientific programs, competitions, conferences, inviting foreign teachers, teaching students and graduate students in leading universities in Germany and countries of near and far abroad, conducting educational and scientific work of the teaching staff of the institute abroad.

In the period from 2014 to 2022, the tasks identified in the strategic goal were gradually solved:

A German language center has been established. The purpose of creating this center was to strengthen the knowledge of the German language of students and teaching staff.
A DAAD coordinating center has been created, which ensures the conduct of competitions for scholarships transparently for KSTI students. The Coordinating Center also informs students about all available DAAD, Erasmus Plus scholarships.
Erasmus plus, DAAD projects are being implemented for new areas of Biomedical Engineering, Applied Mechanics, Logistics, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Textile and Leather Technology.
The number of partner universities for academic mobility has increased: agreements have been signed since 2014 with WHZ, the Stuttgart media institute, and the Würzburg-Schweinfurt institute. An agreement on joint cooperation with the TU Ilmenau and the Hannover Institute of Technology was concluded.
The number of professors who come with guest lectures is increasing. More than 20 professors from partner institutes from Germany come annually. During the pandemic, mobility was suspended for 2 years and has already started working from 2022.
As part of ongoing projects, the laboratories of the departments of the institute are being equipped.
