The general management of the Institute is carried out by an elected representative body - the Academic Council of the Institute. The Academic Council of the Institute includes:
by position: director of the Institute and his deputies, heads of departments of the Institute; elected representatives of the departments of the Institute and educational programs implemented by the Institute. The representation of the members of the Academic Council of the Institute, who are members of it ex officio, should be no more than ½ of the total composition. The Academic Council of the Institute is elected for 2 years. The composition of the Academic Council of the Institute is approved by the order of the Rector of the University.
The Chairman of the Academic Council of the Institute ex officio is the Director of the Institute. The Chairman of the Academic Council appoints the Scientific Secretary of the Council. The meeting of the Academic Council of the Institute is held monthly during the academic year.
The Academic Council of the Institute is authorized to make decisions and exercise control over their implementation in all areas of the Institute's activities, including:
development of proposals for making additions and changes to the Regulations; consideration of other issues of the current activities of the Institute, requiring a collegial decision. Decisions of the Academic Council of the Institute are taken in the presence of at least 2/3 of the members of the total number of members of the Academic Council. The decision is considered adopted if the majority of the members present at the meeting of the Academic Council voted for it.
