In terms of educational work, the department works on the basis of training directions approved (2022 and 2023) by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic by the State Standard for the preparation of educational programs, as well as approved (2018-2020) educational work programs and educational and methodological complexes.
The work programs of the disciplines are compiled in accordance with the modular rating system of training. For 80 disciplines, teaching materials have been developed using credit technology, and they are posted in the form of electronic educational resources on the educational portal of KSTU.
Students are trained according to the curriculum for preparing bachelors and masters of engineering and technology , corresponding to the State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education ;
The work programs of the disciplines assigned to the department were developed in accordance with the State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education in the areas 690300 - “Infocommunication technologies and communication systems” and 690200 - “Radio engineering” , approved by the Order of the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic dated September 15, 2015, No. 1179/1.
At the department, all teaching materials of disciplines are compiled in accordance with established requirements. For all assigned disciplines there are teaching materials, approved work programs and syllabuses and they are posted on the avn educational portal . kstu . kg .
For all specialties in which our department is assigned to conduct classes, work programs and curricula are updated almost every year or two. This is due to the circumstances of rapid development in the infocommunications industry .
Monitoring the implementation of programs and curricula is carried out by the head of the department (adjustments of programs and visits to teachers’ classes), and through the dean’s office and the educational department.
The structure (volume and form of delivery) of classes is regulated by the schedule and implementation schedule of the educational process.
The department has licenses to train personnel in the following profiles:
1. Mobile communication and radio access systems;
2. Digital television and sound broadcasting;
3. Internet of things and telecommunication systems;
4. Communication networks and switching systems;
4. Radio engineering.
Modern technologies are used very widely in the educational process at the department. All subjects related to modern technologies (for example, AP RES, DBMS, test programs for subjects, etc.) are conducted in computer classes at the IET.
Monitoring the work of teachers according to the schedule is carried out by the educational master of the department. In addition, monitoring of compliance with the schedule is also carried out through the KSTU control room. Administrative measures are taken against violators. Student attendance is monitored at all levels of educational process management, from keeping attendance logs to individual work with students.
Making up missed classes is organized by each teacher individually during the period of duty at the department, head. The department takes an active part in it.
To improve the quality of teaching, teachers undergo advanced training courses at the IET, KSTU and at the Standardization Academy, mutual visits between teachers are carried out, residual knowledge of students is checked, and students are surveyed about the quality of teaching the subject, and new laboratory stands are created.
Many subjects at the department are conducted using new technologies, tests on subjects have been created on a computer, virtual laboratories have been created using Electron WorkBench, AutoCAD , PCAD , MatLab , LabVIEW , etc.
