Research activity

The research activity of the academic staff of the Department of Foreign Languages is an integral part of the University’s educational and scientific work. Primary attention is given to the methodology of teaching foreign languages, as well as to improving the quality and effectiveness of research activities.

This work is carried out in accordance with the Department’s research plan and within the priority areas of the University’s scientific development. Particular importance is attached to publication activity and participation in academic conferences. Active involvement in research is a priority for all members of the Department.

For foreign language instructors, research is especially significant in the following key areas:

• professional development and continuous improvement;
• participation in research projects aimed at studying theoretical foundations and practical aspects of foreign language teaching;
• methodology of teaching foreign languages in a technical university.

Work in these areas contributes to professional growth and advanced training of the academic staff.

Student research activity at the Department of Foreign Languages in a technical university is aimed at developing professionally relevant communicative competencies, academic writing skills, and research communication abilities in the fields of engineering, information technology, and applied sciences.

Student research is an essential component of training future engineers, programmers, and researchers, ensuring their readiness to participate in international projects, academic publishing, and professional interaction in a foreign language.
