Educational work of the Foreign Languages department
Teachers of the foreign languages department each year hold a variety of events dedicated to certain events and follow to the plan of the department.
At the beginning of the academic year, the department teachers are actively involved in the organization of the educational process: they form new language groups and divide the students according to the level of English and German languages knowledge.
In order to educate students on the basis of cultural linguistic values, students under the teachers guidance participate in various educational events dedicated to holidays and significant dates of the countries of the studied languages. Students actively participate in contests, round tables, produce colorful posters.
For example, in the 2018-2019 academic year, teachers of the department and first-year students held a holiday "Halloween". The Halloween festival was organized and conducted in the language being studied. Students actively participated in various scenes, contests, sang songs and incendiary dances. Mrs. Morgan Chadderton, Fulbright specialist, working in the department of foreign languages, helped in organizing and holding this event. As a result, the invited guests, students, participants and teachers were satisfied and became acquainted with the American traditions and culture.
From this year, students take participation in the American Song Contest 2019. This project is among the university students and providing with the support of U.S Embassy in Bishkek.
The teachers of the department take an active part in the public life of the university. They participate in the organization of the New Year (decorate the Christmas trees, arrange the hall), take part in the organization and holding of events, such as the 23rd of February and the 8th of March, a round table devoted to the international language week.
On May 9, teachers of the department annually participate in the procession of the immortal regiment.
Language Festival
The International Mother Language Day was held on February 21, 2023, at KSTU named after I. Razzakov. Rector of KSTU Chynybayev M.K. congratulated the participants and guests of this event on Mother Language Day and expressed his wishes. Exhibitions and concert numbers organized by centers and departments were presented to the participants of the language festival. The Department of Foreign Languages presented new textbooks and classic literature to the audience. Students showed their skills by singing in English.
