The research work of the department is carried out on the topic "improving the methodology of teaching foreign languages in non-philological universities." For teachers of foreign languages, research in the following main areas of scientific research is vital: - professional development and professional development; - study of the theoretical foundations and practical aspects of teaching foreign languages; - improving the methodology of teaching foreign languages. Conducting scientific research in these areas contributes to professional growth, professional development and academic level of students. The teachers of the department are actively engaged in modern research, striving for new achievements. Here are the results of their main work: Scientific publications for the 2023-2024 academic year: During the year, 15 articles were published in scientific journals, including articles in well-known international scientific publications. These works are devoted to the peculiarities of the language in its various aspects, the methodology of teaching foreign languages, as well as test tasks, a collection of technical texts prepared by the head of the department, associate professor Chokmorova A.M., P. I. K. K. Mamatova.B., developed by associate professor Majieva and teachers of the department. This academic year, our teachers have received 25 professional development certificates. Each of these certificates reflects not only the diligence and dedication of our teachers, but also our commitment to innovation and relevant educational experiences.
Student research
Students, under the guidance of teachers of the department, conduct research in a foreign language and receive a referral for protection in a foreign language at the international branch scientific and technical conference of young scientists, graduate students and undergraduates "science and innovation: prospects and challenges". Participants can take part in the conference "Science and Innovation: prospects and Challenges" with a report and an article. Following the results of the conference, prizes will be awarded for the best scientific works of participants at the “elementary”, “preliminary” and “intermediate” levels, and the best articles of students will be submitted to scientific publications.
